A 21-year-old woman from Maryland was arrested after allegedly pepper-spraying and stabbing another woman outside a strip club in Baltimore. De’Siya A. Parker was apprehended and charged with serious offenses such as attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment. The arrest occurred almost three weeks after the incident.
Reports from the Baltimore Police Department indicated that Parker attacked and stabbed a 35-year-old woman outside an adult entertainment venue on East Baltimore Street around 12:45 a.m. on May 25. The violent encounter led to Parker facing multiple felony charges.
Following a preliminary investigation, authorities were able to track down Parker and place her under arrest on June 9.
Court documents revealed that police, conducting a routine check in the vicinity, witnessed the physical altercation between the two women outside Club Pussycat. With the assistance of onlookers, law enforcement intervened to stop the fight and separate the individuals involved.
Both women were reportedly searched and were not found to be carrying any weapons.
A few moments after the initial fight was broken up, police said Parker could be heard saying, “Someone going to die tonight,” but noted in a probable cause affidavit that they knew Parker was unarmed at the time. Parker was then seen walking away from the scene.
Later that evening, police said Parker returned to the same strip club while the victim was outside talking to a man who worked at Club Pussycat, which is when the alleged knife attack took place.
The man told police he was speaking with the victim when Parker walked by, staring at the victim, Baltimore ABC affiliate WMAR reported. He allegedly saw Parker pull out a can of pepper spray and point it at the victim’s face, leading to another fight between the women. After a brief scuffle, the victim fell to the ground bleeding and Parker fled southbound on foot.
Parker was reportedly wearing a braided wig that was found at the scene along with a pocket knife.
An employee at nearby Crazy John’s Restaurant and Arcade told investigators that after the first altercation with the victim, Parker came in and tried to purchase a pocketknife but was turned away because she was “irate,” WMAR reported. Police were later able to confirm that Parker was then able to get a pocketknife at Stop 1 Grocery Plus, just down the block from Crazy John’s.
Surveillance footage from a nearby Krispy Krunchy Chicken reportedly captured Parker pepper-spraying and then stabbing the victim, who was rushed to a nearby hospital and treated for injuries to her lower back, wrist and shoulder.
Parker was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where she remained as of Thursday afternoon, records show.
