An individual suspected of being a gunman was captured on a bodycam acting in a bizarre manner towards police officers. The person not only defied commands at gunpoint but also insulted the officers for their alleged lack of manners and accused one of them of inappropriately touching his genitals.

During the incident that took place on the evening of November 10, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the 41-year-old, Brandon Hovey, was heard saying, “If you want to grab my private parts, just ask politely, ‘May I grab your private parts?’ I will allow you to touch my scrotum. I mean, that bizarre behavior is somewhat acceptable, but it’s not entirely okay.”

Reportedly, the suspect had discharged two gunshots into the air near the Quarter Celtic brewpub and then used the firearm to strike, rather than shoot, the manager after being requested to leave the premises. This information was gathered from a report by KRQE.

“Do you want any of this?” Hovey allegedly taunted victims after pointing the gun at them, according to The Albuquerque Journal.

Prosecutors ended up seeking and getting him held without bond. They claimed he had, on Nov. 8, 2024, also fired two rounds at the feet of two homeless men.

“He appears to be a walking bombshell, and he appears to have found his detonator: a firearm,” prosecutors said in a motion.
