A man from Florida who is known for evading the police was apprehended after he led authorities on a frantic car pursuit that covered many miles and concluded with him crashing into vehicles waiting at a traffic light, and a police dog subduing him, as per officials.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office shared a video composed of footage from body cameras and police helicopters on Saturday, which documented the incident. Deputies halted 39-year-old Randolph Brown in DeLeon Springs on Friday afternoon. Brown was reportedly sought in the adjacent Lake County for committing aggravated battery with a lethal weapon.

The body camera recording displays at least two police cars surrounding Brown’s vehicle during the traffic stop. Deputies, with their weapons drawn, instructed Brown to exit his car.

“Keep your hands up or you will get shot,” one deputy shouts.

Brown at first complies and has his hands out of the window.

“Sir, what did I do?,” he yells.

“You’re under arrest. Now get out of the car,” another deputy commands.

At this point, Brown allegedly decides he’s done complying.

He allegedly rolls up his window, backs up, striking one of the deputy cruisers, drives around the police car in front and off he goes. A police helicopter above the scene shows Brown allegedly speed away. The video then cuts to an officer throwing out stop sticks. Brown allegedly ran over them and spun around. He regained control and continued fleeing deputies, according to police.

Next, he allegedly sped through a stop light, narrowly avoiding cars going through the intersection.
