A man, aged 32, from Pennsylvania was taken into custody after reportedly threatening to harm President Donald Trump, as well as other government figures such as Elon Musk and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. The suspect, identified as Shawn Monper, faces four charges of making threats against federal officials and law enforcement officers, as confirmed by the Justice Department.

As per a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the FBI National Threat Operations Section received an urgent report on April 8, 2025, concerning threats made on YouTube by an individual using the alias “Mr Satan.” These threats apparently targeted various federal officials spanning from January 15 to April 5, 2025.

Investigators determined that “Mr Satan” was operating from an IP address that corresponded to Monper’s home in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Authorities uncovered that Monper had obtained a firearms permit shortly after Trump’s second inauguration in January 2025.

For example, on Feb. 17, 2025, he allegedly wrote:

“Nah, we just need to start killing people, Trump, Elon, all the heads of agencies Trump appointed, and anyone who stands in the way. Remember, we are the majority, MAGA is a minority of the country, and by the time its time to make the move, they will be weakened, many will be crushed by these policies, and they will want revenge too. American Revolution 2.0”

Also in February, Monper is accused of stating that he had “bought several guns and been stocking up on ammo since Trump got in office.”

The threats allegedly continued the following month, with Monper allegedly commenting on a video of Trump’s live address to Congress, writing, “im going to assassinate him myself.”
