A man from Pennsylvania ended up in critical condition after a dispute that arose when one of his alleged attackers, a colleague, asked to pet his service dog.

The victim, who remains unidentified, was on duty at a Jimmy John’s sandwich shop in Pittsburgh when his co-worker, 33-year-old Tyree Blue-Murphy, requested to pet his service dog. The situation quickly escalated into a verbal confrontation, leading to a physical altercation where Blue-Murphy and another co-worker, Damon Robinson, 31, reportedly assaulted the man. The victim sustained serious injuries and had to be rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Both Blue-Murphy and Robinson are now facing serious charges of assault and are being held in custody at the Allegheny County Jail without the option for bail.
