A Michigan man will spend significant time behind bars after his three dogs mauled and killed a father of six last year.

On January 29, 2024, Harold Phillips, aged 35, visited the mall to purchase new attire for an upcoming job interview. Following his shopping trip, as he made his way back from the bus stop, he was brutally assaulted by a bulldog, a Staffordshire bull terrier, and an American Staffordshire terrier, just a short distance from his home. Phillips sadly passed away from his injuries on February 2, 2024.

Roy Eric Goodman, 41 years old, and Trevina Quiche Goodman, 39 years old, were arrested and charged with owning a dangerous animal that led to Phillips’ death. The couple later decided to plead no contest to the allegations brought against them.
