Background: A photo of Cinderella Castle and Main Street, U.S.A. at Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. was taken on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, by Charles Sykes/Invision/AP. Inset in the photo is Jorge Diaz-Vega from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Jorge Diaz-Vega, 28, was arrested in spring 2023 for allegedly taking an upskirt image of a 14-year-old girl while working at a souvenir store at Disney World. This led to legal troubles not only for him but also for his employer as the girl’s family sued both parties.

The family claims that the company could have prevented the incident on March 30, 2023, as a female coworker had previously caught Diaz-Vega in the act. However, they allege that Disney failed to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

He allegedly admitted to Orange County, Florida, deputies in a post-Miranda interview on March 31, 2023 that he had been doing this at the Disney World theme parks for the approximately six years that he worked for them.
