A Georgia-based smoke shop chain is facing legal consequences after allegedly selling a can of nitrous oxide to a man who later caused a fatal accident while under its influence.

In March, Charles “Chuck” Johnson, 78, tragically lost his life when he was struck by a car driven by Joseph Tillman, 24, who was reportedly using Galaxy Gas for recreational purposes while driving. In response to this incident, Johnson’s widow, Regina Johnson, has filed a lawsuit against the manufacturers of Galaxy Gas and the smoke shop chain that supplied the product. The lawsuit argues that these parties were aware of the potential misuse of the product as a recreational drug.
