The victim’s ex-boyfriend decided to enter the house through a small door designed for dogs and then tried to exit the same way after the altercation. The woman reacted by defending herself, forcing Ross to retreat through the dog door by elbowing him in the nose. Ross’ actions led to his arrest for burglary with assault. The victim’s encounter with Ross took place in Escambia County, with the intrusion resulting in a physical confrontation between the two individuals, according to the arrest report.
Ross allegedly got on top of the woman and she began to struggle, elbowing him in the process. “Ross then left the residence the same way he had entered, which was through the large dog door at the front of the residence,” the arrest report alleges.
The victim “appeared to be upset about the situation” and told police she wanted to press charges, the report notes.
Police were called to the scene, but they couldn’t find Ross initially.
A Toyota Tacoma registered in his name was allegedly discovered at the victim’s home. Ross returned there and was spotted driving away in his vehicle a short time later, cops say.
Ross was eventually found and taken into custody. He is being held in Escambia County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
