An 18-year-old in Texas has been arrested for allegedly killing a man who was in his driveway changing a tire, fatally shooting the victim in the chest before telling him to “make sure you die slow.”

Brandon Michael Davis was taken into custody on Sunday and charged with one count of murder in the slaying of Dustin Nobles, records reviewed by Law&Crime show.

Police said that officers on Sunday afternoon responded to a home in the 1300 block of Old Moody Road in Eddy, Texas, regarding reports of a shooting, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Waco CBS affiliate KWTX.

Upon arriving at the address, first responders located an individual — later identified as Nobles — suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper part of his chest. Paramedics at the scene attempted lifesaving measures but were unsuccessful, ultimately pronouncing Nobles dead at 1:04 p.m., per the report.
