A man from Michigan is said to have surrendered to the police after allegedly stabbing his wife with a plastic sword and then using a pair of pliers to finish her off.
The Wayne County State’s Attorney’s Office has filed a first-degree murder charge against Timothy Morgan, aged 68, for the death of his wife, Kathryn Morgan, aged 67, on the morning of May 4. Authorities from the Detroit Police Department arrived at a home on Conley Street in Detroit following a report of a stabbing at about 4:30 a.m. They discovered the body of Kathryn Morgan inside the residence, who had suffered “multiple stab wounds to the back and head.”

Timothy Morgan reportedly surrendered himself at the 11th Precinct of the Detroit Police Department, as stated by law enforcement and the state’s attorney. He has been taken into custody at the Wayne County Criminal Justice Center and is currently being held without bail.
Police believe that the alleged murder weapons were a plastic sword and a pair of pliers, which were used to strike a fatal blow to Kathryn Morgan’s head. According to the police, in their Facebook post, they stated that the plastic sword was used to stab her several times.

Kathryn Morgan was found in the home’s living room, police said. They did not provide details about a possible motive for the homicide.
The State’s Attorney’s Office stated that Timothy Morgan was arraigned on Tuesday and will appear in court again on May 16 for a probable cause hearing. A preliminary examination is scheduled for May 22.
