A California woman suspected in the alleged murder of her wife — a beloved fire captain — apparently has a history of spouse-killing.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office revealed in a press release on Feb. 21 that Yolanda Marodi, aged 54, was identified as a suspect in the suspected murder of Rebecca “Becky” Marodi, aged 49, a Cal Fire captain who was discovered deceased in her residence on Feb. 17. Yolanda, the suspect, is the spouse of the alleged victim for the past two years and is currently evading authorities.

It’s worth noting that this is not the first instance where Yolanda Marodi, who is also known as Yolanda Olejniczak, has experienced the tragic end of a marriage due to a violent incident — she was responsible for the death of her first spouse back in 2000.
