Time has finally run out for an Indiana couple who brutally slaughtered a West Virginia woman — once considered a friend — over a $50 watch.

Amanda Don Soultz, aged 32, was recently given a life sentence with the chance of parole following 15 years. This ruling comes as a result of her involvement in the killing of Michelle Ann Smith in February 2023.

In December 2024, Soultz accepted responsibility by pleading guilty to first-degree murder. This plea deal was made in exchange for potential future leniency from Judge Paul M. Blake, Jr. of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court.
