Who is George Cacioppo ?
A PlayStation executive was fired after an amateur group of “predators” filmed him inviting what he thought was a 15-year-old boy to their home.
George Cacioppo allegedly sent explicit photos and GPS location of him to a member of the YouTube account ‘People v. Preds’ via the gay hookup app Grindr in October. The lure claimed to have recently turned 15, according to screenshots from the exchange.
‘Too bad,’ Cacioppo, 64, replied before asking the fake teen about his s*xual experiences and preferences, ‘Do you want to suck or be sucked?’
On Friday, the executive was filmed waiting for a child outside his San Diego-area home while he wore a ‘PS5’ T-shirt after he and the decoy agreed to meet in person. The cameraman confronts him and Cacioppo closes the door.
Cacioppo has been senior vice president of engineering at the Sony-owned video game company for eight years. “We are aware of the situation and the employee in question has been fired,” Sony told CNET on Sunday.

Cacioppo had Grindr profiles under the names ‘Giving Head’ and ‘Hosting BJ 4U’, according to screenshots shared on Google Drive by the People v. Preds.
He appeared to have messaged the decoy first on October 10, although it is unclear what the decoy profile looked like.
Do you like to be sucked? You have photos? Cacioppo asked.
He continues to send a photo of himself. When the decoy tells him that he is 14 years old, he seems to ignore the warning.
‘Photos?’ he asked again. ‘Mmmm very cute’, he says after receiving one.
The gaming executive then asks the teen about his s*xual experiences, including whether he has ever performed oral s*x, and shares his location: the Carmel Valley residential community in San Diego.
“I love unbuttoning your pants,” he tells the lure.
The conversation resumes on Friday, according to People v. Preds. The actual dates of the talks could not be independently verified.
Cacioppo starts the conversation and sends a photo of himself. He asks for more explicit photos.
The decoy writes, ‘I’m finally 15 lol I think we talked earlier.’
After asking her about his age a couple more times, Cacioppo says, ‘too bad’, but proceeds to strike up a s*xual conversation with what he believes to be a teenager. He also submits multiple photos of his penis, according to censored screenshots posted by People v. Preds.
Cacioppo sends his GPS location and the decoy accesses Uber there.
The conversation then resumes via text message, where the former PlayStation executive declares his intention to engage in “hugs, kisses, mutual oral.”
“Would you like to meet me in the driveway or something?” Asks the decoy.
“The front door will be open. I’ll go out,” Cacioppo replies.

Cacioppo returns to his house and closes the door.
“Excuse everyone, this guy invited a 15-year-old to have s*x with him tonight,” yells the cameraman.
The People v. Preds has amassed more than a million views since its launch in August, according to YouTube.
Cacioppo’s sting, tagged with the number 93, is one of the shortest videos at just two minutes and 34 seconds, but it has become one of the most viewed with 126,000 views.
