Capitol Hill has been a hot mess all day, starting with the unexpected appearance from Hunter Biden during a House Oversight Committee as the GOP held a hearing on whether to hold him in contempt after declining to show up to a deposition in December.
Amid the turmoil Biden’s visit caused, Democratic congressman Robert Garcia made a case against Donald Trump and channeled The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Heather Gay.
Garcia went viral after a clip of him was shared on social media, where he quoted Gay during a pivotal scene in the show’s Season 4 finale.
“And what do we have as Democrats? We have receipts. Proof. A timeline. Screenshots. We have everything we need to prove conclusively that foreign governments were funneling money through Trump Properties and into Donald Trump’s pockets, all in violation of the Constitution,” Garcia said in the viral clip.
In the season finale of RHOSLC, Gay confronts fellow housewife Monica Garcia after learning she was running a fan account about the Bravo reality series that exposed the stars she was now trying to befriend.
“This is how you know I’m telling the truth,” Gay shouts at her co-star’s direction. “I have your perfect formula. Receipts. Proof. Timeline. Screenshots. F***ing everything to prove that you are a f***ing bully and a f***ing troll and that you don’t deserve to be at this table or anywhere near any of us for the way you’ve treated us.”
The video of the California congressman has already been seen by Gay who reshared it on her X account.
Garcia is not the only fan of RHOSLC. Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence also gave props to the Bravo series calling the episode “the best finale I have ever seen on reality TV.” While being interviewed on the red carpet by ET, Lawrence reenacted Gay’s memorable scene.
