16 and Pregnant star Whitney Purvis’ 16-year-old son, Weston Gosa Jr., has died.

Whitney announced the heartbreaking news on Facebook on June 2nd, expressing her deep sorrow over the loss of her son, Weston, who was only 16 years old. She shared her disbelief and immense pain at the unexpected tragedy, describing it as her worst nightmare coming true. The photos she posted captured the bond between them, highlighting the void left by Weston’s untimely passing.

Directly addressing her beloved son, Whitney expressed her profound love for Weston and how proud she was of the young man he was becoming. She mourned his premature departure and declared her eternal love for him, reminiscing about the joy he brought into her life. Despite the overwhelming grief, she sought solace in the memories they shared and the special connection they had.

In a subsequent post, Whitney continued to express her everlasting love for Weston and her struggle to comprehend the cruelty of life’s unpredictability. She acknowledged that he would forever hold a place in her heart, emphasizing the irreplaceable bond they shared. Through her heartfelt words, Whitney honored Weston’s memory and the impact he had on her life, portraying the profound loss she was experiencing.

A cause of death was not revealed, but Weston Jr.’s, stepmom, Amy Gosa, shared via Facebook that the family “tried to wake” Weston up at 7 a.m. on Monday morning but he was “not breathing.” (Whitney shared Weston Jr. with her ex, Weston Gosa.)

“We attempted CPR and called an ambulance. The paramedics attempted it as well and took him to the hospital in Gordon County where he was pronounced dead,” Amy wrote. “He had several health issues as well as diabetes. We are completely heartbroken and in shock. It was so unexpected.”

Amy added that “losing a child is the most painful thing I have ever experienced,and I hope I never experience it again.” She called Weston the “most amazing son I could have asked for,” and a “brillant, smart and funny” boy who had “so much potential in life”

“It doesn’t feel real,” she added before asking to keep her family and “Whitney in your thoughts and prayers as we mourn such a brilliant amazing life that was our son. Thank you.”

Weston was born in April 2009 during the MTV show’s first season. Since the show aired, Whitney lost custody of Weston Jr. and other son River. Last year, she was reportedly arrested for allegedly failing to make child support payments, according to TMZ.
