Alec and Hilaria Baldwin Receive Criticism Following their 11-Year-Old Daughter’s Release of a Skincare Guide

Hilaria Baldwin recently promoted her daughter’s skincare book on Instagram. Titled “Recipes to Rock Your Natural Beauty Empowerment, Self-Care, and Natural Radiance in One Inspiring Guide,” the book is set to be released on March 23 by Di Angel Publications.

In her post, Hilaria described the book as a tool for embracing self-care, fostering confidence, and appreciating natural beauty. She expressed her pride in her daughter, Carmen, and announced that they would be autographing the first 500 copies for fans.

Even though she is only 11, the former yoga instructor indicated that her daughter has been making her own skincare products at home for a while. “If your child is like ours, skincare is an obsession. Walking that line of letting them explore and have fun, but also being conscious of what they are putting on their skin is a hard one!” she wrote in the caption.

“We strike a balance in our home and part of it has been Carmen led by watching her make her own skincare products, from our kitchen, researching, learning about beneficial ingredients, creating, and having fun!” she added.

The post received praise for the daughter Alec Baldwin shares with his ex-wife Kim Basinger, Ireland Baldwin, who commented, “Cuuuuuuute!!!” Hilaria responded, “We love you” along with a red heart emoji.

Although the “30 Rock” actor commented, “I’m proud of you too,” there were many negative comments that were left on the post. One fan wrote, “Omg she’s too young” along with a crying emoji. The post caught Ireland’s attention, who asked, “To learn to cook and early healthy food for glowing skin or?”

Another follower chimed in with a son who was the same age as Carmen. “My son is Carmen’s age and still watches Ninjago while playing with Legos in his underwear. Why does Carmen get treated like she’s 17?” they asked.

“It’s called money, agenda, and other arrangements. Everyone needs to know how to play with the players. Anything can be arranged. Nothing in business or life is a coincidence,” another user replied.

Another follower asked why anyone would take advice from a child when there were so many other celebrities and influencers promoting their own skincare brands. “Why would ANYONE take beauty advice from an 11-year-old who looks older?! Let her have her childhood…she’ll have more than enough time to be an adult!” one user exclaimed.

“She looks like she’s almost 20. I can’t wrap my head around how she’s my kid’s age. It’s like she’s not even a kid, super strange,” another follower agreed.

“11 years old don’t need skincare except for a good face wash,” a third user chimed in, prompting another netizen to add, “Absolutely too young… they’re trying to make her look 21.”

Combined with their upcoming reality series, “The Baldwins,” many expressed concern that the Baldwin family was trying to reinvent their image and end up just like the Kardashian/Jenner family. “Why push an 11-year-old into an adult world?” another user asked. “We are becoming a nation of Kardashians. Sad.”

“It’s all about money,” one user commented, to which another follower added, “Money… and the attention.”

Hilaria Baldwin reportedly wants to use their upcoming reality series to advocate “for moms getting their ‘me time’ too,” and “prioritizing” both “solo time with Alec” as well as “her own health and wellness” while raising a large family.
