Banks didn’t attend the 2025 Met Gala held in New York City on Monday night, but that didn’t stop her from actively participating in the proceedings from the comfort of her home.
The “Luxury” crooner trolled celebrities she felt made wrong fashion choices, and didn’t hold back in her criticism of Rexha, who wore a Christian Siriano black coat and grand tulle skirt paired with fishnet gloves.
Banks wrote on X, “Sis gives me – hormonal birth control implant or something. It’s giving implanon/nuvaring she needs removed or depo shot that needs to stop happening (I’m not even tryna play her).”
However, Rexha responded by asking Banks to seek help. She wrote, “And you might wanna jump on some type of therapy, sis, Lexapro worked great for me.”

Rexha Slams Body-Shaming Critics

This isn’t the first time Rexha has had to respond to body shamers this year. In February, she visited Dubai for a charity performance and had a live Instagram session with fans.
However, during the live stream, someone commented about Rexha’s appearance, writing, “You look like Marilyn Monroe after she ate Lizzo.” Rexha responded to the person, “Honestly, who cares? That’s a f-ckin’ hater, like, who’s bored with their life.”
She later addressed the issue via a video posted on her Instagram Stories, letting her fans know she was okay. She told her fans, “You guys were very nice to me and supportive of me. But I want to say a couple of things.”

Rexha continued, “Number one, I am unbothered. Number two, I’m very aware of everything. I know I gained weight. I know that I’ve been through a lot. I know that people know my songs but don’t know me, and I haven’t gotten the recognition I’ve deserved.”
The four-time Grammy Award nominee stressed that the criticism about her body didn’t bring her down but was a source of strength.
She said, “But instead of letting that all break me down, it’s actually made me feel more powerful. I’ve been working on new music, and I’ve been putting it into my music.”
Bebe Rexha’s Reveals PCOS Diagnosis
Rexha opened up about her polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis during a 2003 appearance on Gayle King’s Sirius XM show.
She said, “I definitely struggle with my weight and I struggle with the way that I look, and it’s been tough for me. I just found out recently that I have PCOS and a lot of women have it.”
Rexha highlighted her struggles with weight gain, noting, “It’s tough. … I’ve been definitely struggling with my weight and I’ve been struggling with food forever.”
The “Girl in the Mirror” singer shed more light on her diagnosis during an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” in May 2023.
She shared, “I went to the doctor last year — and a lot of women actually have this and they don’t know about it — but they diagnosed [me] with PCOS.”
