Axios reporter Alex Thompson publicly criticized his fellow media professionals for failing to adequately cover the obvious mental decline of former President Joe Biden.
Thompson expressed his discontent during his acceptance speech for the “Overall Excellence in White House Coverage” award at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner held on a Saturday.
“Being truthful also requires acknowledging our own shortcomings. We, myself included, overlooked many aspects of this particular issue,” Thompson addressed a crowd of mainstream media figures holding themselves out as journalists.
