Britney Spears Working on Various Projects But Not Prioritizing Her Career

Singer Britney Spears has a few different projects in the works, but right now, she just wants to focus on what makes her happy!

Britney Spears, known for hits like “Toxic,” was under a legal conservatorship from February 2008 to November 2021. Now free and reportedly single, her focus seems to be on her own happiness.

Followers of the singer-cum-actress on Instagram witness her dedication to posting dancing videos. A source revealed to Us Weekly in May that these videos serve as both entertainment and work for her.

A source disclosed that Britney is enthusiastic about numerous possible projects, including her aspiration to establish a dance studio to impart dance skills to others. According to the source, opening a dance studio is a genuine dream of hers that she frequently discusses.

However, a second source said that Britney just wants to take some time to enjoy her own happiness. “Britney lives a very low-key life. She’s not career-focused — she only wants to do things that bring her happiness right now,” they said.

Britney started dating former personal trainer Sam Asghari after they met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. They tied the knot in June 2022, a few months after her controversial 13-year conservatorship came to an end. Unfortunately, the “Special Ops: Lioness” actor filed for divorce in August 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

The actor has recently started dating real estate agent Brooke Irvine. A source told the publication that this is Sam’s first relationship after the divorce and that he is “really happy.” They also noted that Britney “will always be a hopeless romantic” and “loves having a partner” so she is “looking to date.”

The “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer has had an on-and-off relationship with her former housekeeper, Paul Richard Soliz, although they have not been photographed together since August and may have called it quits for good due to their turbulent history.

Despite living a low-key lifestyle, it appears that she still keeps in contact with her former friends, especially Paris Hilton. The second source told the publication that Britney “has a few close friends that check in on her daily,” and one of those friends is Paris Hilton, who shares a son, Phoenix, and a daughter, London, with her husband Carter Reum.

“They text often and see each other every once in a while. Britney loves babies, so meeting Paris’ kids was very exciting for her,” the source said, noting that Britney “loves visiting” her friend’s children.”

Other than that, the source revealed that Britney is careful about who she lets get too close to her.  “Britney is close with her hairstylist and her assistant, but I don’t see her hanging out day-to-day with anyone else,” the first source claimed. “She [can be] all over the place, and very hot and cold — [she’s either] on top of the world happy or crying because of a paparazzi photo.”

“Britney is a happy person, but she does spend a lot of time alone,” they added.

Britney has two sons with her ex-husband Kevin Federline: Jayden James and Sean Preston. A source revealed to Us Weekly that Jayden reached out to Britney in November in the hopes that they can repair their relationship.

“He’s open to mending the relationship with his mom and seeing where things go. Britney was very excited to hear from him; [it] means everything to her,” one source claimed.

A third source told the outlet that Jayden plans to go to school in California and has been staying with Britney while looking at schools. “They’ve been getting along great,” the source claimed, noting that this has also improved her relationship with Sean Preston.

“Britney’s convinced they’ll have a flourishing relationship in the near future. It’s all she ever talks about,” the second source said. “She would love a second chance with them.”

Although Britney has made it clear that she will never reconcile with her father, Jamie Spears, things have been a bit more up and down with her mother, Lynne Spears.

“Things with Lynne have been rocky [recently], but Britney wants to improve [their relationship],” one source told the publication, noting that Britney always feels anxious about the holiday season.

“She misses her and gets sad about her family dynamic,” the source added.

However, Britney has been growing closer to her brother, Bryan Spears, and “talks to him often,” especially after her divorce. At this time, it is not clear where Britney stands with her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, although a source did say that the two sisters are hoping to make a fresh start one day.
