A man in Ohio, 27, has been accused of stabbing his father to death this week. After committing the act, he dialed 911 and confessed to the dispatcher, saying, “I just killed my father.” Micaiah I. Swindler was arrested on Monday and charged with murder in the killing of Joe Swindler, announced the authorities.

As per a news release from the Marysville Police Department, officers received a call about a stabbing incident at a residence in the 1400 block of Meadowlark Lane, around 33 miles northwest of Columbus, at approximately 12:34 p.m. on April 21, 2025.

Upon their arrival, emergency responders found an adult male victim inside the residence with multiple apparent stab wounds. Sadly, he was declared dead at the scene.

Another male, later identified as Swindler, was inside the home and was immediately taken into custody without incident. A security sweep showed no other victims or occupants in the home.

The victim has not been identified by authorities, but in audio from the 911 call placed by Swindler and obtained by Detroit ABC affiliate WXYZ, he tells the dispatcher that he murdered his dad, Joe Swindler.
