Cardi B’s daughter is a budding artist.
Cardi, who is 32 years old, recently shared a video on her Instagram Stories, dated Sunday, March 23. The video showcased her expensive Hermés Kelly handbag made of golden crocodile leather. Her daughter Kulture, aged 6, had playfully drawn a single heart on the purse using a black pen.
In the clip, the rapper expressed despair over the situation. She exclaimed, “Literally spent $60,000 on this purse.” The video, which is now also available on YouTube, captured her zooming in on the heart drawn by her daughter as she repeatedly exclaimed, “Look what my daughter did to my purse.”
(No worries. If Cardi wants to, she can bring the bag to a Hermés store for repairs.)
Cardi and ex Offset welcomed Kulture in July 2018, their son, Wave, in September 2021 and a third child in September 2024.
In December 2024, the Grammy winner squashed criticism that she was accepting brand deals to pay the bills.
Addressing misconceptions about her finances, Cardi clarified in a voice recording shared on X. “People say that I’m surviving off Shein deals and brand deals — wait, hold on,” she stated. She further emphasized, “I want to let y’all know I could wake up tomorrow and sign a contract and I’d have half of $65 million — or half of $70 million — in my bank.”
Cardi said at the time that she spent “about $3 million in a month,” and noted that 2024 was her “off year” in terms of lucrative music deals. She added that she was waiting until her next album release to sign a tour deal — which would net a bigger payout.
“You can’t act like you’re hungry, especially when you’re not,” she said.
Nearly seven years have passed since Cardi B released her hit album Invasion of Privacy, and her fans are hoping for a follow-up.
“I just be feeling like I don’t be liking anything. I feel like I got so many songs. I just don’t like nothing. Like, nothing is good enough. I got so much f—ing money saved up, I be like, ‘Yeah, whatever the f—,’” she said via an Instagram Live in December 2022. “Making music to me has become like a job that gives me anxiety because everybody just critiques everything that I do.”
During the same Instagram Live, Cardi B addressed how becoming a mother had affected her decision to hold off on releasing a second album.
“I feel like I have gotten too comfortable because, you know — I’m just a mom, and I do have anxiety,” she said. “I’ve been having a lot of anxiety because I know right after I drop my album, I have to go out on tour, and I have bad separation anxiety from my kids.”
