CLERMONT, Fla. – White Castle has announced it’s breaking ground in the hills of Clermont for its second Central Florida brick-and-mortar location.
In 2021, the hamburger chain commemorated its 100th anniversary by inaugurating what is recognized as the most extensive independent White Castle globally. It is also acclaimed as Florida’s sole autonomous White Castle establishment in Orlando.
Clermont will see the emergence of a 3,220-square-foot “sibling establishment” mirroring the one in Orlando, anticipated to showcase contemporary design, both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements, dual drive-through lanes, and the generation of 75 employment opportunities.
The Clermont site is scheduled to unveil in the latter part of summer 2025, as per an official press statement. The commencement ceremony has been earmarked for 10 a.m. on April 9 at the Plaza Collina site along W. Colonial Drive, as mentioned in the communication.
News 6 previously learned from White Castle that sites for new restaurants were confirmed in Clermont and in Kissimmee. Regarding the latter, White Castle has filed permits to build a “5,000 square foot quick service restaurant in the I-Drive district,” specifically off the Northeastern corner of Universal Boulevard and McKenna Drive, mere minutes away from Universal’s soon-to-be-completed Epic Universe. It’s not currently known when the Kissimmee location could open.
Otherwise in Orlando, White Castle operates a “Crave & Go” location — only offering pickup and delivery — at 11814 Glass House Lane.
