Chrissy Teigen Responds to Criticism for Bathing with Three of Her Four Children

The former model had to speak up for herself when a fan questioned why she’s “always in dirty bathwater.”

People have been particularly critical after she called out the White House under President Donald Trump for their mistreatment of Selena Gomez, who was upset over deportation issues.

The backlash towards Teigen intensified when she shared a photo of herself in the bath with her children, aged six, two, and 20 months, at her Beverly Hills home, valued at $17.5 million.

“The bath pix is weird and unnecessary,” a fan wrote, while another knocked her act as “cringe,” adding that “kids deserve privacy too.”

“Because of how strange she is in general, I won’t comment on how abnormal it is to bathe with her son, who is in about the 3rd grade,” an Instagram user wrote.

“Bathing with your kids is one thing, but is there a need to be topless doing so?? I don’t care how young or old or close you are to your kid; there’s no need to be topless, especially when posting to social media! Just keep it private,” one fan added.

Teigen had to defend her bath time with her children as many online felt that Miles, who was seen wearing an omnipod for diabetes, was “a little too old to be having a bath with his mom.”

“It’s a coconut milk bath for sensitive skin, but go off,” she wrote, particularly in response to people commenting on the color of the bath water.

In 2019, Teigen told Refinery29 that she had experienced a change in skin sensitivity after becoming a mom.

“I’m sure a lot of moms can relate, but I think my skin-care routine has changed because my skin has changed,” she said at the time. “After you give birth, something unexplainable happens to your skin. My skin never used to be as sensitive as it is now; I used to go to town on chemical peels and extractions.”

She continued, “But it’s why I love the Luna 3. It keeps my skin glowing and healthy, and it is accommodating to my skin type. Now, I pretty much live makeup-free if I’m going to lunch or picking up the kids. My entire routine needs to be quick. I wash my face in the shower, brush my teeth in the shower, and I am on the go.”

Teigen recently slammed President Donald Trump’s White House for the way they attacked Selena Gomez after she released a video crying over deportations of undocumented immigrants by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“I love her. Empathy should never be frowned upon or made fun of,” Teigen said, per TMZ. “The fact that the White House has enough time to even make a statement or a video about it is fucking preposterous and disgusting and lame and loser behavior.”

Teigen had earlier doubled down on her take in a post on her Instagram stories, blasting staffers for having “a lot of time on their hands for the dumbest sh-t ever.”

Trump admin had earlier called out Gomez for lacking empathy for those “murdered by illegal aliens.”

Teigen recently turned up the heat at the 67th Grammy Awards, which she attended alongside her husband, John Legend.

She posed for photos on the red carpet, wearing a strapless Christian Siriano fishnet gown from his spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection.

Her husband also looked handsome in a Louis Vuitton suit with a necktie picked out by stylist David Thomas.

Teigen posted on her Instagram Stories about her Grammy Awards dress, writing, “Thank you, thank you for getting this dress into my hands and onto my body, @csiriano.”

“I’ve been sending pics of it to my friends for months! I love you!” she added, per the Daily Mail.

The cookbook author and the “All Of Me” singer are ready for the Super Bowl match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

According to People Magazine, the couple shared a reel on Wednesday revealing their favorite Super Bowl recipes, including “John’s famous chili” and a “Frito Pie Bar.”

“This is a Super Bowl MUST in our family,” Teigen captioned the clip filmed in her kitchen alongside Legend.

“I hope you’re excited for the big game,” she added, noting that the chili is “super flavorful.”

They rounded up the clip by revealing they’re backing the Eagles to win as Teigen said, “Go…,” before Legend shouted “Eagles” from off camera.
