Christina Haack admits that her children are very cheerful following her separation from her third husband.

Christina Haack is not holding back about how life has improved since her split from Josh Hall.

The popular HGTV personality shared that her home life has significantly improved since her former husband’s departure. This revelation from Haack comes shortly after her divorce from Josh Hall in July 2024, following a marriage of almost three years.

On the other hand, Christina Haack has wasted no time in moving forward, with her newfound relationship with Christopher Larocca garnering attention, particularly after he made a surprising appearance on her successful real estate program recently.

During a candid discussion with her friend Cassie Schienle, the television star didn’t hold back when expressing her feelings of liberation. When asked if she felt relieved, she quipped, “Because Josh is gone? Yes, like a 220-pound weight off my shoulders.”

Haack shared that her home environment has wholly shifted for the better, emphasizing that her children, Taylor, Brayden, and Hudson, are happier than ever. In her words:

“The house is so much better, the kids are so happy. Like, everyone in this household is thriving, and the kids truly are doing great.” 

PEOPLE highlighted that Haack also opened up about her efforts to salvage the marriage before their July 2024 split. She revealed that she encouraged Hall to explore self-improvement and even suggested they flip houses together in an attempt to keep him engaged.

However, she ultimately realized, “No matter what, you can’t make someone else happy; they can only make themselves happy.”

During a heartfelt conversation with her ex-husband and “Flip Off” co-star Tarek El Moussa, Haack opened up about how her children played a pivotal role in the decision to end her marriage to Hall.

The star reflected on a heated argument with the former police officer that escalated to “middle fingers in my face.” 

Haack admitted that her kids were the ones who encouraged her to walk away. “The kids literally asked me to leave. They told me he’s not nice to me. Why would I stick around?” she revealed.

The former couple finalized their split after Hall filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Court documents also revealed that he requested spousal support as part of the proceedings.

While speaking with Schienle, Haack admitted that ending her marriage to Hall was not an easy choice. “Three divorces? Of course, I didn’t want to get divorced for a third time,” the 41-year-old emotionally stated.

Schienle, who has known Christina for over 25 years, reassured her that she made the right decision and acknowledged Haack’s history of jumping into relationships. 

Schienle encouraged her to slow down and focus on herself. “I know you love a relationship. You love to be in love. Not one thing has changed in our 25 years of friendship or knowing each other,” she noted.

She reminded Haack of all the positives in her life, her children, career, and future, before gently advising, “Alright, let’s slow it down.” Haack fully agreed, embracing her friend in a heartfelt hug.

The mother-of-three surprised viewers by introducing her new boyfriend, Christopher Larocca, during the season finale of “The Flip Off.”

The Blast reported that Larocca made several appearances throughout the episode, joining Haack’s close-knit group of family and friends at her Newport Beach home. 

The finale was packed with anticipation as everyone gathered to see the results of the final house-flipping challenge, pitting her ex-husband and his wife, Heather El Moussa, against her most recent ex, Hall.

Larocca watched the event unfold alongside Haack’s children, Schienle, and design partner, Kylie Wing. However, he appeared to keep a low profile, choosing not to engage directly with Haack during the episode.

Before making their small screen debut, Haack made her relationship with Larocca Instagram official in February, just weeks after the pair was spotted enjoying a romantic night out in Los Angeles.

The couple wasted no time showing off their jet-setting romance, posting a series of snapshots aboard a private jet. 

Dressed in sleek, all-black outfits and dark shades, the duo clinked champagne glasses as they soaked in their luxurious outing. In a playful caption, Haack joked, “Some plane flights must be hard posted.”

Their love story did not stop in the sky. The pair took their romance overseas, landing in the ultimate destination for love, Paris. The lovebirds were seen sharing a passionate kiss in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Now, with her marriage behind her, Christina Haack is focused on creating a happier, healthier home for her children, and by her own account, they are thriving.
