Halle Berry Celebrates Mother’s Day Relaxing in Bed with Boyfriend Van Hunt

Halle Berry got a well-deserved overdose of affection on Mother’s Day! 

The famous actress known as the “Cat Woman” enjoyed a day full of joy while lying in bed with her partner, Van Hunt. She was eager to share her excitement with the world.

Halle Berry and her partner, Van Hunt, began their whirlwind romance a few months after bonding over the phone during quarantine in 2020. 

She took to Instagram on Sunday, posting a sweet video of herself cuddled up in bed with her boyfriend. In the video, she enthusiastically displayed her intimacy gel called “Let’s Spin” and hinted at their plans for Mother’s Day.

“I won’t show you now, I’ll describe how my Mother’s Day will end. Isn’t that right, honey?” she said, while her partner teasingly encouraged her to share quickly, indicating their anticipation to spend time together intimately.

Berry, however, takes a moment to explain that her new product is now available in a travel-size bottle, which they brought along to Cannes, France, for the first time. With a sense of anticipation, she reveals that they are about to give the gel a test run, much to her boyfriend’s delight.

The video concludes with the actress giggling and wishing everyone a happy Mother’s Day while they spin into their celebration. “Oh my God, I’ve never been so happier to have mother’sday come to an end,” Hunt said at the end of the clip.

While the world kept away from the streets and each other, Berry and Hunt were building a romantic bond that has lasted for half a decade now.

As shared by PEOPLE, Berry shared insights into her relationship with the musician, revealing that they spent four months getting to know each other over the phone during the pandemic.

During an interview, Berry expressed how this unconventional experience allowed them to connect intellectually first, stating, “I fell in love with his mind, his conversation.”

The couple began to show signs of their romance in the summer of 2020, with Hunt posting a photograph on Instagram in July that featured Berry kissing his cheek, affectionately captioned “my bamboo.”

Berry later introduced her new partner with a subtle Instagram post featuring their intertwined feet, captioned “Sunday, funday.”This marked the first public indication of her relationship since her brief connection with musician Alex Da Kid in 2017.

Before this, Berry had mentioned on Instagram Live in April 2020 that being single had been “so great,” hinting that she was enjoying her independence.

In March 2021, Hunt expressed how deeply his relationship with the actress has influenced his music and life. He shared that she has impacted his songwriting in significant ways, hinting at new music he was excited to reveal.

Hunt noted that Berry’s influence extends beyond music into his personal life, including his parenting, stating, “I’m a completely different person,” and emphasizing that their relationship has enhanced every aspect of his life.

Hunt also took the opportunity to praise Berry’s writing talent, particularly highlighting her heartfelt Valentine’s Day tribute to him, suggesting that many might be unaware of her abilities in this area.

The couple made a notable appearance together when they debuted on the red carpet at the 2021 Oscars, where Berry dazzled in a mauve Dolce & Gabbana gown. They also attended the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards, where Berry received recognition for her directorial debut, “Bruised.”

In a heartfelt moment, she returned the favor and expressed her gratitude to Hunt, declaring, “My love, love, love — my sweetheart,” and emphasizing that he supports her fully in her endeavors. 

She acknowledged his contributions to “Bruised,” noting that he wrote the title song and played a significant role in the film’s success.

The couple is quite used to being mischievous, and in 2022, they kicked off the New Year with a playful twist during their tropical vacation. Berry posted a picture of the couple kissing at an altar, which many fans took as a marriage announcement, especially with the caption “well … IT’S OFFICIAL!” 

However, the next day, she clarified that it was just a fun New Year’s Day adventure, noting that people might not swipe through posts as much as they thought.

Despite the misunderstanding, she appreciated the flood of congratulatory messages from fans and friends, including celebrities like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Ava DuVernay.

Reflecting on the post during an appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” Berry humorously recalled how the idea for the photo came about. 

After enjoying a few drinks, she and Hunt stumbled upon a small chapel and decided to call his mom, jokingly pretending they had tied the knot. The couple, amused by how well the photo turned out, thought playing a prank on their friends on Instagram would be fun.
