The 27-year-old is relentless in fighting for her parents’ release, and her latest revelation is that her parents were targeted for their political affiliations.

On May 17, she spoke extensively on her parents’ current situation with Lara Trump on Fox News’ “My View With Lara Trump.” The influencer agreed in the affirmative when asked if she thought her parents were taken in due to their fame.

She also attributed their conviction to the actions of Democratic prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia, who initially deemed the case too weak to prosecute due to insufficient evidence.

Savannah revealed that it took nine years for a federal indictment to be issued, during which the prosecutors, who had a history of donating to Democratic candidates, seemed to have a personal vendetta.

Following her parents’ conviction, Savannah has become guardian to her two minor siblings and the couple’s youngest children. Her new reality surprised her, but she rose to the occasion out of love for her parents and duty as her big sister.

Her parents also do their best to contact her from jail to check in and ensure her siblings are doing well. Despite the huge responsibility, the influencer did not lose sight of what is important, which also includes her parents’ welfare while in jail.

Savannah opened up to Trump that her mother’s living conditions behind bars broke her heart. She explained that Julie is in a Lexington facility with no functioning air conditioning system.

The couple also has problems of their own in their respective holding facilities, as their situation has led to a serious breach in communication between them.

As noted by The Blast in March, Savannah shared with the public on her podcast that her parents have not spoken to each other in over two years.

Although both parents are in separate prisons, with Todd serving his sentence in Florida and Julie behind bars in Kentucky, Savannah blamed the prison system for their lack of communication.

The influencer emphasized that nobody should have to experience her parents’ reality, and the prison system has not exactly made it easy for her parents to connect.
