Justin Bieber's Team Responds To Claims That He Is Broke: 'Clickbait Stupidity'

Justin Bieber has wasted little time responding to recent claims that he is broke and owing millions of dollars.

A tabloid article published on Wednesday featured a statement from a former employee of Bieber, alleging that he was facing significant financial difficulties amounting to millions after the cancellation of his Justice World Tour in 2003.

The assertions made against Bieber and the subsequent reaction from his team serve as the most recent occurrence in the singer’s life, which has been marred by reports of strained marital relationships and enigmatic posts on social media in recent times.

The “Purpose” singer’s team moved swiftly to rebuff claims that he owed huge sums.

They did so via a statement Us Weekly obtained. Bieber’s team began by slamming those peddling such rumors.

According to the response provided by Bieber’s team, they denounced the claims as sensationalist misinformation originating from unverified sources who seem disgruntled about no longer being associated with Justin.

The statement continued, “As Justin forges his own way forward, these unnecessary stories and inaccurate assumptions will continue. But they won’t deter him from staying committed to following the right path.”

In another statement, Bieber’s team told The Hollywood Reporter, “Any source that is trying to sell you a story about alleged financial distress … either doesn’t understand the entertainment industry or, more likely, is trying to paint an unflattering portrait of Justin, which bears no resemblance to reality.”

Bieber’s team’s statement was in response to an article published by The Hollywood Reporter titled, “Justin Bieber’s Crisis of Faith?”

The article alleged that Bieber is still plagued by several financial consequences caused by the cancellation of his tour in February 2023.

Bieber was initially scheduled to go on tour in 2020, but those plans had to be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Another delay followed in 2022 after the “Never Say Never” crooner was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused his face to be paralyzed.

It was also alleged that Bieber owes tour promoter AEG a significant sum, estimated to be $20 million, with insiders claiming he was given a $40 million advance for the tour.

In January 2023, Justin Bieber made headlines by selling the rights to his entire music catalog for a reported $200 million.

The deal covered his publishing rights, recorded music, master recordings, and everything he had released before 2022, approximately 290 songs.

While multiple reports identified Hipgnosis Songs Capital as the buyer, the transaction stirred buzz beyond its hefty price tag.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the initial offer was around $140 million. However, Bieber’s team, which at the time included his former manager Scooter Braun, negotiated a higher price.

The profile noted that Bieber’s representatives viewed the deal as a way to ensure the artist had “financial security” for an extended period.

Justin Bieber has dominated news headlines for various reasons in recent times.

In March, The Blast reported that Bieber’s personal assistant and estate manager, Mateo Caldas, had reportedly quit and was focusing on his acting career.

Caldas’s decision to move on came amid reports that Bieber had cut ties with some bodyguards and drivers since welcoming his son, Jack Blues, whom he shares with his wife, Hailey Bieber.

Before that, Bieber also parted ways with his former manager, Scooter Braun, with insiders noting that he had a “tighter” team than ever before.
