Justin Timberlake appears upset as he approaches fans who challenged him to a car ‘race’ in a popular video clip

Justin Timberlake caused a stir online after a viral clip showed him telling off excited fans who were driving alongside him.

Internet users had mixed reactions to the clip. Some said the singer was “mean,” while others suggested the fans were provocative in their approach.

This incident comes after Justin Timberlake ran into trouble with the law last year and got arrested for seemingly driving while intoxicated.

Timberlake has gone viral online after a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) showed him blasting a group of people while on the road in his car.

While it’s unclear, the individuals appeared to be fans who were excited to see him and tried to engage him in a conversation.

In the clip, the fans were driving alongside Timberlake when they yelled, “It’s Justin Timberlake” to themselves.

The camera then panned to a dark grey vehicle with tinted glass, leading the fans to tell the driver to “roll down the window.”

After the window finally rolled down, an irritated Timberlake could be seen in the driver’s seat. It was clear that he was fed up with the fans, bluntly questioning them, “Do you want something?”

“Let’s race,” they replied back several times before the singer told them to “Get out of here, you f-cking kids.”

Many fans took to the comments section to express their thoughts on the video, which had been titled by the poster as: “Why is Justin Timberlake so mean omfg [crying emoji]???”

One individual commented, “Celebrities owe their success to their fans.” Another quipped, “They should have known better than to bother him while he’s driving, especially considering his recent DWI incident.”

However, many users supported the singer and clarified that he wasn’t being “mean.”

A fan said, “They were probably following him and being overly abrasive. The way they’re talking to him is the way paparazzis do too. I mean, I wouldn’t judge since you don’t have the whole footage, so…”

It comes 7 months after Timberlake ran into trouble with the law and was arrested for driving under the influence after a night out with friends in the Hamptons enclave of Sag Harbor, New York.

The “Bye Bye Bye” singer blew through a stop sign and swerved from his lane, forcing cops to pull him over.

A police filing said he appeared “glassy-eyed” with a strong odor of alcohol emanating from him. He also performed poorly on the sobriety test and refused to take a breathalyzer test.

Timberlake’s driving license and privileges in New York were suspended for a year, so his viral interaction with fans didn’t likely didn’t happen in the Big Apple.

After months of court sessions, he entered a plea deal where he agreed to do 25-40 hours of community service, as well as make a public service announcement about the dangers of driving while impaired.

At the time, a source told People Magazine that he entered the plea deal to put the legal drama behind him and “move on,” as his family and tour were his priorities.

“He’s a family man, and this is his focus. He accepted a plea deal because he wants to move on,” the source said. “The court case has been a distraction. He doesn’t want his family to be affected by it.”

Timberlake’s run-in with the law seemingly affected his relationship with his wife, Jessica Biel. However, a source told US Weekly they’re back on solid ground and are “rebuilding trust” in their marriage.

“Jessica and Justin are spending more time together and are happier and more relaxed,” the source shared, noting that his arrest tested their marriage.

“Justin has taken time to reevaluate his priorities,” the insider continued. “He hasn’t been going out as much and is staying in more with Jessica and the kids.”

The “Palmer” actor is reportedly “finding new ways to connect” with his loved ones, as Biel is said to be supportive of him but has been holding him accountable.

“Jessica is showing patience and compassion while also maintaining firm expectations of him,” the source explained, adding that the couple are “prioritizing their strength as a family.”
