Kelly Clarkson’s Show Absence Cause Finally Exposed

Kelly Clarkson has been a no-show on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” for over a week, but there is no cause for alarm as all is well with the singer.

Several celebrities have stepped in for Clarkson on her show amid her absence, which sparked concerns among fans.

Speculations were rife among fans about the cause of Clarkson’s absence, with some fearing the worst for her.

Fans need not worry about Clarkson amid her continued absence from her show. However, TMZ reported that her recent step back isn’t a cause for alarm.

Some called for NBC to release a statement clarifying the situation amid Clarkson’s absence, as concerns for her health heightened.

However, insiders told the outlet, “Kelly herself is completely fine. She’s been dealing with a personal matter that does not directly involve her.”

Sources also said Clarkson will return to the studio and will be on air on Thursday, March 13.

There was no word on the personal matter the 42-year-old is dealing with, so fans will have to wait to see if she opens up about it when she returns.

According to “The Kelly Clarkson Show’s” weekly listings, Clarkson will return for the March 18, 20, and 21 episodes.

The singer-turned-TV show host isn’t the first to miss out on episodes of their show, but it was the nature in which it happened that got fans concerned.

Actor Simu Liu, who was among those to step in for Clarkson, admitted that he was given little notice before stepping in.

During the March 3 episode, he said, “Kelly actually isn’t able to make it today. We are sending her our very best, and here’s the thing. I did not know I was doing this until about five minutes ago when I arrived here to promote my new movie, ‘Last Breath.'”

Before Liu, comedian Roy Wood Jr. filled in for Clarkson on February 28 and on March 6. Clarkson returned to the show for the March 4 and 5 episodes but hasn’t appeared since then.

The Blast reported that following the announcement, several fans took to the comments section to express concern for the show’s host.

One fan asked, “Where is Kelly? We are worried sick about her.” Another person commented, “We don’t need to know her business but need to know she is OK, please.”

A third person shared, “I respect Kelly Clarkson’s privacy, but I am very concerned about her.”

Meanwhile, some fans defended Clarkson’s decision to keep the reason for her absence private.

One such person wrote, “Hey y’all, you all need to understand this: Kelly does not owe anyone an explanation for her absence. Y’all can worry all you want, she doesn’t have to tell anyone what’s going on, IF there’s anything going on.”

Clarkson has yet to address her absence from “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” but this isn’t the first time she has taken an extended hiatus.

In 2022, the singer stepped away for the summer to spend quality time with her children in Montana.

During an interview on Today that August, Clarkson explained why she took a break, saying, “It was really important to me to shut down for a minute. [We] just spent the whole summer in the mountains. It was nice.”

She noted that the time away positively affected her kids, adding, “It felt like the first time my kids felt a little more centered as well.”

While she remains silent about her latest absence, Clarkson is currently focused on her upcoming Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The highly anticipated 18-show run will kick off on July 4, 2025, and continue through November 15, 2025.

Since its premiere in 2019, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” has become a fan-favorite daytime program, winning multiple Emmy Awards.

The show is now approaching a significant milestone, with its 1,000th episode set to air on March 20.

Outside of her professional commitments, Clarkson prioritizes her children, daughter River Rose, 10, and son Remington “Remy” Alexander, 8, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock in June 2020, citing irreconcilable differences.

After a prolonged legal battle, their divorce was finalized in March 2022. She has since been open about the emotional toll of the split, channeling her experiences into her 2023 album, “Chemistry.”
