Khloé Kardashian’s motivation for fitness comes from her desire to have sex.
During the Wednesday, February 5, episode of Kardashian’s “Khloé in Wonder Land” podcast, the reality star, 40, sat down with divorce attorney to the stars, Laura Wasser. In the conversation, Kardashian read a quote from Wasser that really stuck with her.
“I don’t dress or work out so people will take a picture of me, I do it because I hope I’m going to get laid,” Kardashian read aloud.
Wasser laughed and shared that she didn’t “remember saying that.” However, she added that the sentiment still rang true.
“I definitely don’t dress or work out to get a picture taken of me,” Wasser said.
Kardashian then chimed in that they should “do it to get laid.” She took it one step further by revealing that the idea of having a future partner see her sans clothing serves as her inspiration to go to the gym.
“Listen, I work out to get laid,” Kardashian confessed. “I’m like, ‘Someone’s gonna see this naked one day, and it has to look good.’ … one day.”
Wasser then asked Kardashian whether she had heard that some women take photos of themselves naked so they can look back on their bodies when they’re older. Kardashian revealed that her mother, Kris Jenner, was a big advocate for that mindset.
“My mom tells me that. I’m like, ‘Are you OK? Can you stop?’” she quipped. “She’s always like, ‘You’re never gonna look as good as you look now.’ She’ll tell me, ‘Wear a bikini,’ and it will be snowing outside.”
Kardashian has been candid about how fitness has played a role in boosting her self-confidence over the years. In a December 2024 interview with Bustle, she reflected on how her 2016 divorce from Lamar Odom inspired her to prioritize her weight loss journey.
“I needed a release, but I did not trust anybody else anymore. And the place that I felt the safest was the gym,” she reflected. “As a byproduct, my body started changing. I loved the way I felt. I loved testing myself and challenging myself. And I’ve been doing it for 10-plus years now, and I love it.”
After her split from Odom, 45, Kardashian dated French Montana, James Harden and Trey Songz. In 2016, she began an on and off relationship with Tristan Thompson. The pair, who share daughter True, 6, and son Tatum, 2, called it quits for good in June 2021 after the former basketball player fathered a child with Maralee Nichols months before they welcomed Tatum via surrogate.
