Kid Rock Slammed For Exiting Stage Due To Nashville Audience's Refusal To Clap

Fans have slammed singer Kid Rock for storming offstage after he became displeased with the audience’s response to his performance.

The rocker was trying to get the audience to clap and had already stopped the performance to energize them.

However, he lost his cool when his efforts didn’t yield the desired results and exited the stage.

Kid Rock Doesn’t Feel Nashville Audience’s Energy

On February 8, Kid Rock was a special guest at Jon Bon Jovi’s Nashville bar for the birthday celebration of the latter’s keyboardist, David Bryan.

The audience cheered and applauded Kid Rock when he joined the band onstage to perform Creedence Clearwater Revival’s classic hit, “Proud Mary.”

However, the performance didn’t go the way Kid Rock or the audience would have envisaged.

Issues arose during the performance when Rock attempted to engage the audience further by clapping his hands along with the music, encouraging them to join in.

However, Rock didn’t like that only a few people clapped, so he stopped the song and waved his hands at the band, asking them to cut the music.

Afterward, he told the audience, “Hey, hey, stop. If you ain’t gonna clap, we ain’t gonna sing. That’s how it’s gonna go.”

After admonishing the audience, Rock guided them in clapping. The music resumed, and he continued singing.

However, it didn’t take long for him to get disappointed with the audience’s participation level, and he asked for the music to stop playing.

A displeased Rock then said, “You know what? F-ck y’all. If you ain’t gonna clap, I’m gone.”

After saying those words, the “Redneck Paradise” crooner left the stage, leaving Bryan and the other band members confused.

However, the fun didn’t stop after his departure. The band continued performing soon after, much to the audience’s pleasure.

Their late-night sighting follows previous buzz about Lauren’s excitement over meeting the rocker at Trump’s inaugural party, where she reportedly couldn’t stop “fangirling” over him.

According to Page Six, Lauren and Rock were seen getting into the same cab in the early morning hours, raising eyebrows about their relationship.

Though the reason for their meeting remains unclear, the two share common ground as staunch supporters of Trump and vocal advocates for gun rights.

They first met at one of Trump’s inaugural parties, where Lauren appeared captivated by the singer. TMZreported that she was “yapping away, doing a little dance, and clapping like she was front row at his concert—basically giving Kid Rock all the hype he needed.”

Despite the speculation, Rock has reportedly been engaged to Audrey Berry since 2017, while Boebert’s divorce from her ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, was finalized in 2023.
