Kid Rock has started a new chapter after separating from his fiancée Audrey Berry privately.

Kid Rock and fiancée Audrey Berry have officially gone their separate ways after a seven-year engagement.

The famous singer, also known as Robert James Ritchie, had kept his relationship with Berry private ever since they were first connected in 2011. Their love story began in Detroit right after Rock’s split from Pamela Anderson, whom he was married to between 2006 and 2007.

Even though they were not in the public eye much, Audrey Berry played a significant role in Kid Rock’s life. The musician often expressed his appreciation for the time they shared together.

According to a source close to the couple, the 54-year-old rock star and Berry decided to end their relationship towards the end of last year, with Kid Rock now looking to start dating again.

Neither Kid Rock nor fiancée Audrey Berry has publicly commented on the split.

The breakup news surfaced shortly after Kid Rock was spotted in Washington, D.C., alongside Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert. According to Page Six, the pair left a party together at 2:30 a.m., fueling speculation about the singer’s next romantic chapter.

Meanwhile, TMZ reported that Lauren Boebert was caught living her ultimate rock star fantasy last month, when she was spotted completely fangirling over Kid Rock at the inaugural ball in Washington, D.C.

Sources close to the situation, revealed that Boebert and her mother are longtime Kid Rock fans, and based on her reaction, the excitement was very real.

In a now-viral video, Boebert can be seen totally transfixed by the rock star. She was animatedly chatting with him, clapping, and even breaking into a little dance, almost as if she were front row at one of his concerts rather than a high-profile political event.

As PEOPLE reported, according to the Detroit Free Press, which was the first to report on the couple’s engagement, Kid Rock met Berry in suburban Detroit shortly after his divorce from Anderson was finalized. Their connection was instant and the country rocker wasted no time asking her out after spotting her at a restaurant.

That first spark led to a whirlwind romance, with their first official date happening the very next day in Chicago. From then on, the two were inseparable, maintaining a long-term relationship that lasted over a decade before their recent split.

Kid Rock previously addressed the challenges of dating someone outside of the entertainment industry in a 2011 interview with Piers Morgan, saying, “This is somebody who is not a celebrity. It can really be a tough thing to deal with. I’m thinking of somebody else, trying not to be so selfish.”

Plus, during a 2021 interview with Hook & Barrel magazine, Kid Rock spoke highly of Berry and their life together.

“Every day I pinch myself. I give many, many thanks. I do give a lot of attribution to the hard work that I’ve put in, but at the end of the day, I’ve been a very lucky person,” he shared. “My fiancée, Audrey, says I have a golden horseshoe up my a–. I don’t take anything for granted.”

Beyond their personal bond, the couple also shared a passion for outdoor adventures and hunting.

“She took right to [deer hunting], but I’m too impatient. I get anxious, and if I see a monster 10-pointer, and he’s 180 yards away, and I’ve got a compound bow, I’m just pissed off,” he admitted, adding that while some hunt for the adrenaline rush, he preferred the satisfaction of success.

Kid Rock’s love for Berry wasn’t just evident in their personal lives, it also made its way into his music. According to PEOPLE, in an interview with Q Magazine, the musician admitted that his song “Johnny Cash” from the album “First Kiss” was a tribute to Berry.

The lyrics reflected his admiration for her, singing:

“I like the way you hold my hand / And play just like my baby grand. I like how you don’t give a damn / And love me just the way I am.”

Their shared passions also extended beyond music. Berry, an avid outdoors enthusiast, influenced Kid Rock’s love for hunting and nature, leading the couple to spend much of their time together outdoors. He also revealed that they were binge-watchers, enjoying everything from “The Blacklist” to endless hours of the Hunting Channel.

“That’s relationships, right?” he quipped.
