Justin Baldoni's Lawyer Hints At Desire To Sell Tickets And Live-Stream Blake Lively's Deposition

Bryan Freedman, the attorney representing Justin Baldoni, is looking to generate interest in the upcoming deposition of actress Blake Lively amid their legal dispute.

Freedman has proposed holding Lively’s deposition at Madison Square Garden and even suggested the possibility of either selling tickets to attend or livestreaming the event. He plans to donate all proceeds from this initiative to organizations supporting victims of domestic abuse.

Blake Lively’s legal counsel has already indicated her willingness to participate in the trial, especially after the actress revealed that she has faced significant challenges and hardships this year.

Freedman has proposed a shocking legal move in his attempt to defend Baldoni from Lively’s sexual harassment accusations.

The legal luminary told People Magazine that he wants to sell tickets to the “Gossip Girl” star’s deposition, which will be held at Madison Square Garden, and would like the session to be livestreamed.

“Since Ms. Lively is open to testifying, let’s make it count,” Freedman told the news outlet. “Hold the deposition at MSG, sell tickets or stream it, and donate every dollar to organizations helping victims of domestic abuse.”

Baldoni was drawn into a contentious legal battle with Lively after she accused him of sexually harassing her on the set of “It Ends With Us” in December and allegedly masterminding a smear campaign to tarnish her image.

The 41-year-old actor responded with a $400 million counter suit against the actress, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane. He accused Lively and Reynolds of trying to wrestle creative control of the movie and of defamation.

News of Lively’s proposed public deposition comes after her lawyer confirmed that she’ll take the stand in Baldoni’s trial, which is slated for March 2026.

In an interview with People, Mike Gottlieb replied “yes” after he was asked if the “A Simple Favor” actress would testify in the upcoming trial.

“The ultimate moment for a plaintiff’s story to be told is at trial. We expect that to be the case here [with Lively]. So we would, of course, expect her to be a witness at her trial. Of course, she’s going to testify,” he said.

Gottlieb added, “In discovery, they’ll have an opportunity to ask Ms. Lively questions and depositions. Likewise, we will have the opportunity to take the depositions of the defendants,” including Baldoni.

Freedman, who confirmed that Baldoni would also take the stand at the eventual trial, responded to Gottlieb’s revelation: “She has been testifying since the moment she auditioned for this part. And if she is suddenly now willing to sit for a deposition, I am available. How does tomorrow morning work for her?”

According to the news outlet, Freedman also slammed Lively for how she positioned herself, accusing her of using her celebrity network to shape the narrative.

“Although obviously uncomfortable for the Lively parties, the truth is not a distraction. The truth has been clearly shown through unedited receipts, documents, and real-life footage. More to come,” the lawyer said.

Freedman added that Lively “was the one who brought her high-profile friends into this situation without concern for their own personal or public backlash,” implying that she used her “dragons” to “manipulate Justin at every turn.”

In Baldoni’s countersuit, he alleged that Lively tried to use her celebrity power to wrestle creative control over “It Ends With Us” from him.

Baldoni also claimed Lively likened herself to “Game Of Thrones” character, Khaleesi, and called pop star Taylor Swift and her husband, Reynolds, her “dragons.”

Although neither Lively, Swift, nor Reynolds has addressed this claim, sources have shared that Swift felt “used” by her friend and disliked being pulled into her legal battle.
