Miley Cyrus is ready to bear it all on her family’s years-long feud!

The singer played a pivotal role in repairing the fractured relationship within her family. While things appeared to be going well on the surface, there was a lot of effort being invested behind the scenes, which she plans to explore in her upcoming project.

Miley Cyrus found herself estranged from her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, her sister Noah Cyrus, and her mother, Tish Cyrus, following her parents’ divorce in 2022.

During her recent interview on Monica Lewinsky’s podcast, “Reclaiming,” Miley announced that she will delve into the details of her family’s struggles in her next album. She even disclosed the title of one of the tracks, “Secrets.”

The singer confirmed that the song reflects a heartfelt desire for her father to feel safe enough to disclose the painful truths that have affected their family.

Following a decade of drama, Miley successfully mended relationships within her “messy” family without the help of a therapist, humorously remarking on the challenges that would have arisen getting everyone to cooperate.

“Just to get each other into a room to get to counseling would have been a war,” Miley exclaimed. Despite these challenges, Miley’s latest visual album, “Something Beautiful,” coincided with her efforts to repair family ties, proving the entire point of the album title.

On the impact of her parents’ tumultuous relationship, Miley sees it as an example of how unresolved issues can accumulate over time.

The singer believes burdens like “emotional hoarding” can make it overwhelming to address the mess after a long period. In her journey towards healing her family, Miley emphasized the importance of rebuilding communication, dedicating a significant part of her year to this process.

She approached the situation by fostering happiness and joy between herself and her parents first, believing that a positive atmosphere would facilitate deeper conversations later.

“I just kind of busted through the pile that stacked and just [went], ‘I’m here, you’re here, let’s start by having a good time together, and then as we start bringing some happiness and joy into each other’s life, then we’ll be in a better place to have these conversations,” the actress shared.

So, rather than opting for counseling, Miley noted that she preferred to create balance in their relationship. She expressed a desire for others to appreciate her way of functioning and perhaps emulate it.

The Cyrus family matriarch briefly brought the family’s feud back under the spotlight when she unfollowed her superstar daughter on social media. Tish’s Instagram activity came shortly after the country legend hinted at a possible reconciliation with Miley. 

This wholesome development raised eyebrows and concerns among the public about the current state and possible future of the once cordial relationship between Tish and the former child star.

In homage to their developing friendship, Billy Ray shared an old video on Instagram with Miley. In the heartwarming clip, Miley sat on the piano while Billy Ray tried his hand on the guitar, a testament to their musical bond.

The song they performed included poignant lyrics about feeling a void. In the caption, Billy Ray boldly expressed his excitement about reconnecting with Miley.

The singer also endorsed his newfound romance with Elizabeth Hurley, who has also returned the favor by publicly acknowledging the “Flowers” singer via a like on her Instagram post.

The Blast reported that Billy Ray’s new relationship with Hurley can be considered another catalyst in the family’s reconciliation journey.

The country singer and Hurley made their romance public on Easter Sunday. Since then, they have made their red carpet debut together and share many steamy PDA moments.

An insider recent revealed that the new relationship has made Billy Ray “desperate” for a family unit and bond with his kids. The source noted that Billy Ray has reflected on his past, particularly his former marriage, and acknowledged that he should have taken Miley’s advice.
