A man accused of murdering a father and daughter will appear in court today.
Police discovered a 61-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman with stab wounds after they were called to a property on Mayes Road, north London, at 9.37 a.m. on Sunday.
The London Ambulance Service was called and both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have said that while formal identification has not yet been made, they are “sure” they were father and daughter.

Achilleas Costa was charged yesterday with two counts of murder and will appear in custody today at Willesden Magistrates Court.

Detective Chief Inspector Claire Hine, who is leading the murder investigation, had previously said: ‘This incident has claimed the lives of a father and daughter.
‘Our thoughts are with their loved ones as they face such an unimaginable loss.
“We are and will continue to provide all the support we can.

We believe that the victims and the man in custody knew each other and while the investigation is still in its early stages, I am confident that we are not looking for additional suspects and that there is no continued risk to members of the public in the area. .
“ I urge anyone who hears anything unusual or witnesses suspicious behavior in the vicinity of Mayes Road, whether this weekend or at another time, to contact the police.
