Nicki Minaj Calls Out Entitled People

Minaj shared two posts on her Instagram Stories, educating her followers about people who feel entitled.
In the first post, she wrote, “Most people don’t want to earn money. They want to be given the money that you’ve had to earn.”
In the second post, the rapper had an even longer message addressed to her fans.
“Dear Barbz,” she began. “If you become financially “rich,” or are ALREADY rich, wealthy, successful, etc., you’ll always have to hire complete strangers (for the most part)…”
She explained that hiring strangers wasn’t “due to lack of ability or experience” before adding, “people you’ve known forever will want & NEED a position REAL BAD- bills piling up, eviction notices, drowning in debt, children to feed.”

Minaj’s Relationship With Her Sister Ming Li

The fan’s reference to Nicki Minaj’s sister, Ming Li, is not without cause, as the siblings made headlines last year.
In June 2024, Ming made an appearance on the “We In Miami” podcast and responded to questions about why Minaj didn’t do certain things for her.
The aspiring rapper said, “People used to say like, ‘Oh if this person was your sister, why didn’t she do this for you?'”
She added, “I never needed her to help me to get to my goal. I just need her to see that I can do it and she can be proud of me without having to think that I needed an easy way to get to the top.”
Ming stressed that it was important for her to be independent of her famous sister because she previously felt the need to impress Minaj. The 19-year-old also shared that she and Minaj were “never close” because the latter was “always busy.”
She explained, “Even though people do think that like, we are not cool, we’re gonna argue. My sister do be getting mad at me. But this is nothing new — siblings ‘gon fight.”

Minaj Responds To Her Sister’s Comments
Although Ming Li noted that she didn’t have a close relationship with Nicki Minaj, she said the latter was a “good sister” and checked on her and their dad at intervals, making sure they were “good and situated.”
However, Minaj responded to Ming’s comments during a chat with fans on Stationhead. She questioned Ming for speaking publicly about someone she loved.
The 42-year-old said, “Why would a person speak openly about a private person? Why would a person do that? Who would you speak about in your interviews if someone wanted to interview you? Yourself, right?”
Minaj, who was detained last year over alleged drug possession, then hinted that she was referring to a relative when she said, “I think y’all think talent like, you could catch it like a cold. Or maybe people could pass it through the genes. Even with blood relation, what God has given to me is mine.”
She added, “You have to go and get your own. You have to discover whatever it is that you’re great at. Being a mooch and a clown don’t run in my DNA.”
Ming reacted to her sister’s response to her comments by commenting on an Instagram repost of it. She wrote, “I still love her, I tried as a sister to please her but I realize I gotta please God first cause only he can judge the gift he gave me.”
