Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham Seek Legal Counsel from Harry and Meghan’s Lawyer Amid Family Tensions

This comes amid reports that the young couple bonded with the Sussexes over similar experiences with their in-laws.

Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham have particularly been in the news lately as their relationship with David and Victoria Beckham has become more strained.

According to the Daily Mail, Nicola and Brooklyn are growing concerned about the various reports about them on the internet and are trying to protect their reputation.

This has seemingly led the duo to hire British solicitor, Jenny Afia, who works for Schillings law firm.

The Duchess of Sussex is said to have also given a referral after Brooklyn and Nicola met the US-based royal and her husband at a party in Montecito, California, in early May.

Sources now claim that the lawyer’s appointment has prompted “much amusement,” as David and Victoria Beckham are allegedly not on good terms with Harry and Meghan.

Another source elaborated more on the latest development, noting that Nicola and Brooklyn took the “drastic” decision due to recent headlines about them.

“You couldn’t really make it up, first Brooklyn and Nicola cosy up together and realise they have quite a lot in common, and then all of a sudden they have enlisted the help of the Sussexes’ long-serving lawyer,” the source told the Daily Mail.

They continued, “Nicola and Brooklyn are getting fed up of stories running they don’t like. Nicola likes to control everything, and they have taken this rather drastic action.”

“For the Beckhams, the irony isn’t lost. They fell out with Meghan and Harry after they accused them of leaking stories – they were furious and Brooklyn knows that,” the source added. “The two couples are very close indeed.”

Three weeks ago, the Sussexes had an intimate dinner party with Brooklyn and Nicola in Montecito, hosted by Brian Robbins, chief executive at Paramount Pictures.

While the event raised eyebrows due to the ongoing tensions within the Beckham family, it was confirmed that the plans were made before the public fallout between Brooklyn and his parents, David and Victoria.

During the dinner party, Meghan reportedly felt a strong sense of empathy toward Nicola, as both women have experienced similar challenges navigating strained family dynamics under the spotlight.

A source told The Sun that during the dinner, Meghan and Peltz shared a heartfelt conversation, bonding over how they’ve “been positioned in the media as home-wreckers — the women to tear apart their husbands’ families.”

“Meghan had a lot of sympathy for her, and said there was shared common ground,” the insider revealed. “They didn’t meet in relation to recent developments and headlines, but it was an honest but very welcome coincidence.”

David and Victoria once shared a close friendship with Harry and Meghan, even attending the couple’s royal wedding in 2018.

They reportedly went so far as to offer Harry and Meghan use of their Beverly Hills home as a private retreat not long after the royal wedding.

However, the relationship between the two couples has since cooled. According to reports, tension arose when Meghan allegedly suspected Victoria of leaking personal information to the media, a claim that created significant friction.

A source told The Sun that Meghan voiced her concerns to Harry, suggesting Victoria was the source of a leak.

The source noted that Harry reached out to David in an attempt to clear the air, stating: “Harry is very protective of Meghan, and decided to deal with the matter head-on, by directly contacting his good pal, David. Harry was very polite, but obviously, it was a pretty awkward exchange, and David was mortified.”
