Nicole Young from ‘Selling Sunset’ Put on Hold Due to Chrishell Stause’s Ultimatum to Leave the Show

Chrishell Stause‘s ultimatum to leave “Selling Sunset” on Netflix may have impacted the participation of Nicole Young in the reality show. Recent reports indicate that Young is allegedly opting out of filming upcoming episodes amidst her highly publicized conflict with Stause.

Nicole Young and Chrishell Stause have been locking horns since the former joined the reality show in its sixth season.

Young was supposedly absent from filming during the shooting of the show’s ninth season towards the end of last year. This decision coincided with the escalating tension between her and Stause.

Sources revealed a dramatic confrontation between Young and the other Oppenheim Group agents in November following a cast dinner that turned sour.

Footage from the event showed a seemingly cordial beginning to the evening for Young and the rest of the cast until Chrishell and fellow cast member Emma Hernan made an appearance, sparking a surge in animosity.

A few days after the incident, Nicole shot a one-on-one segment with Jason Oppenheim, the head of O Group. During the segment, he recommended that she take a step back from her office responsibilities.

TMZ shared that the reality star has reportedly not participated in any filming since that discussion on camera. 

The two realtors have never been coy about their disdain for each other. Stause openly stated in September that she would not return to the show if Young was on the season. 

However, she soft-pedaled on her promise and resumed filming alongside her archenemy. Aside from vehemently initially refusing to work alongside Young, Stause left a clause that involved the the show offering a substantial financial incentive for her troubles.

Young had previously accused Stause of taking the credit for one of her real estate listings in the past. She also accused her of finessing her way to the top by engaging in questionable acts with Oppenheim.

Stause retaliated and alleged Young consumed harmful substances. The feud did not end there; Young proceeded to like an anti-LGBTQ+ post about her colleague’s relationship with drummer G Flip. 

Their conflict seemingly resolved after Stause confronted Young for her stunt, forcing the latter to apologize and sue for a truce. However, their peaceful resolution was short-lived, as Young soon accused her rival’s best friend, Emma Hernan, of having an affair with a married man.

The Blast shared excerpts from Stause’s interview with Billy Bush last year, where she spilled the tea on the beef between her, Young, and Hernan.

The 43-year-old posted a video on her Instagram Story as she headed to the interview, expressing her intention to uphold Hernan’s reputation to her followers. 

In response to questions, Stause expressed her frustration over Young’s persistence in exploiting their relationship for publicity.

“The only time she’s ever made headlines is trying to take down me and now Emma. So, you know, she’s trying to do the same playbook she did before,” the TV personality noted. Stause then bashed Netflix for encouraging Young’s excesses, saying:

“It’s unfortunate that she was given the platform to do it again and Emma not be given the chance to defend herself because, as you will see now with the receipts that are coming out, it’s so blatantly untrue.”

Stause assured fans that the truth would come to light in the show’s new season as she reiterated that her bestie was innocent of all Young’s lies. She noted available evidence  and receipts of her co-star’s alleged wrongdoings, noting:

“Even the person that this somehow started with, that Nicole, you know, names, is the first person to be like, ‘Oh my God, that is not what I said, Nicole.'”

Stause expressed slight regret about her inability to provide proof before the season started, but her pain could not compare to watching her friend unable to defend her image on the show.

The Netflix star eventually reacted to her rival’s statements about her character and reputation on the show. Surprisingly, Young avoided heated social media exchanges and rather addressed the issues in her way.

She uploaded an image on her Instagram Story last September featuring her dog laying on a blanket alongside a crying, laughing emoji.

“With all the outside drama this weekend, this has been the vibe at our house. #Unbothered,” Young wrote in the caption. She added more pictures of her dogs and stressed that she was indeed “Truly unbothered. Life is good.”

It looks like Chrishell Stause finally got her wish of not filming alongside Nicole Young!
