Online Speculation Grows Over ‘Mormon Wives’ Star Jen Affleck Missing From Spotlight

After a wildly successful first season, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is now filming their much anticipated second season. Luckily for fans who are missing the show while waiting for spring 2025, when new episodes hit Hulu, there’s no lack of “Mormon Wives” drama online.

The past few weeks have been super dramatic for the stars of the reality show, but many fans notice that one particular cast member has been M.I.A. and everyone seems to be wondering if she’s returning for season 2.

Popular TikTok content creator, Stephanie Tleiji, has some answers that fans are looking for in regard to Jen Affleck‘s absence throughout all the online drama.

It seems like a big secret because there aren’t really any direct answers to the question – Where’s Jen Affleck?

Many fans of the show are following all the MomTok moms on social media and have noticed that Affleck has been really quiet. In fact, she hasn’t posted anything on Instagram since November 6 and TikTok since October 31. This brings on an additional question – Is she going to be part of season 2 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”?

Popular TikToker, Tleiji, who goes by @stephwithdadeets, has some answers and shares the receipts she’s been able to collect to give fans some clues as to where Affleck is and what’s going on with her.

Tleiji recently shared a video on TikTok talking about an Affleck sighting and shared that while many may think the reality star may be getting divorced, that’s simply not the truth.

“Where is Jen Affleck? That is the question a lot of people have. She has been M.I.A. Not just M.I.A. when it comes to ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,’ when it comes to social media,” Tleiji said. “And as you guys know, social media is Jen’s job.”

She explained that Affleck wasn’t on the recent “Mormon Wives” girls’ trip or at the recent Sinner and Saints party with the MomTok crew.

“So, this got people thinking, is she going through a divorce and just wants to be away from social media, from the spotlight, from it all?” she continued. “So sorry to break it to you guys with evidence, but that is not the case. Because not only has Jen Affleck been spotted recently, but so has her husband, Zac.”

Tleiji then shared a receipt that the couple is still together and looking happy.

“One of my followers sent me this photo from the BYU game this past weekend,” she said. “They are together, and they look really happy. If I had to assume, I’m gonna say I think it came down to the show or Zac, and I’m gonna guess that Jen chose Zac.”

She further shared that she feels something may have happened with the group “before the girls had taken their little girls’ trip.”

“And I would guess that Zac told her you either leave the show or I leave you,” she continued. “Who knows? I mean, lots of reality stars tend to leave a show and then they might end up coming back the next season, the end of the season. So I guess we’ll see.”

Many “Mormon Wives” fans who have been keeping up with all the MomTok drama shared their thoughts on Affleck’s situation in the comment section.

“Have y’all ever thought that maybe she just wanted to take a break cause all y’all do is speculate on her marriage and its overwhelming,” one person said. Another added, “I don’t think they’ll divorce. It seems obvious Zac’s ego can’t handle the criticism he/they received after season 1 aired.”

One person shared that Affleck was spotted in NYC recently. “Saw her last night at ‘Wicked’ in NYC! They were both cute and affectionate last night-stood behind them at the concession stand ” Another viewer added, “It’s true I was the concession stand vendor.”

A few people noticed that Zac has been part of the recent DadTok videos, which makes people wonder if they are a part of the second season after all.

“Why has he been in some of the husbands’ videos if they aren’t apart of the show,” one person wrote. Another said, “But didn’t he join the ‘Dadtok’ train?” One other person added, “This is what I’m thinking? Why did he do DadTok then?”

Just one day after sharing the video about Affleck’s missing presence on social media, Tleiji shared a video to announce that Affleck has broken her online silence with an Instagram Story.

“The last time Jennifer Affleck had posted on social media was on November 6, but today, she did post this to her Story,” she said.

“And she wrote, ‘Hey guys, it’s been a while. I’ve been focusing on my physical and mental well-being, which is why I stepped back from social media. Thank you to everyone who has shown so much love and support this year, whether through a message or a simple hug in person. It has really helped me heal in so many ways.”

Tleiji continued by talking about the fact that everyone’s talking about Affleck because they haven’t seen her in a while, and that there’s “lots of speculation about her leaving the show.”

“And I say her leaving season 2 because we do know that she was filming for season 2. I even got video proof of her filming with Whitney. But three weeks ago, it seemed like something had happened between Jen and maybe some of the women of MomTok. Three weeks ago when some of MomTok had made this post about someone playing the victim, some of them had even unfollowed Jen Affleck at that time.”

According to Tleiji, Jessi Ngatikaura and Demi Engemann still do not follow Affleck on social media.
