As rumors of a split from fiancée Katy Perry continue to swirl, Orlando Bloom appeared to be in good spirits during a Tonight Show appearance.
During the Tuesday, June 10, episode, Bloom, 48, was interviewed by host Jimmy Fallon, accompanied by his dog Biggie Smalls, whom he humorously referred to as an “emotional support animal.”
The actor kept the laughs going, adding, “Because I’m very emotional right now.”
Following this television appearance, it was revealed by Us Weekly that the couple, who have a 4-year-old daughter named Daisy Dove together, are currently going through a difficult period in their relationship.
According to a source, the couple has been drifting apart, spending less time together, and leading separate lives, indicating a growing distance between them.
A second insider noted that the pair’s inner circle have learned that Perry, 40, and Bloom, don’t seem to be on the same page at the moment. “It’s an unspoken thing that they are having issues and have for a while now,” the second source told Us on Tuesday. “Everyone around them knows.”
The second source added that Bloom is keeping the pair’s private life issues “close to the vest,” before noting that the Pirates of the Caribbean star has been “out and about more often” without Perry, who is currently on her worldwide Lifetimes Tour.
The pair, who met at a 2016 Golden Globes after party, got engaged in 2019. The second source told Us that they “never set a date for the wedding or got around to planning anything and Orlando is ‘over it.’”
A third source also told Us, “Things aren’t good.”
Despite rumors running rife, both Bloom and Perry have remained publicly supportive of one another via social media. Bloom was also in attendance in April when Perry journeyed to space on a Blue Origin rocket.
Perry also jokingly told a fan to stop DMing Bloom during a May concert in Las Vegas. Pressing pause on her show, Perry walked towards a fan and squatted down to tell them, “Oh, yeah, cute grin. I know why you’re here. Listen, if you keep DMing my man…”
Per TikTok footage shared on May 20, Perry continued, “Oh, Kyle. I know. I know. You’ve been doing it for months. Ever since the residency. You didn’t come to see me play. If you keep on DMing my man, I’m going to have you removed. Seriously, get your own life. I’m his wife.”
She then told fans, “I’m his,” as the crowd called back, “He’s mine,” echoing the narrative of Perry’s track “I’m His, He’s Mine,” from the 2024 album 143.
Perry and Bloom dated for one year after the first met, briefly calling off their romance for just under one year. Reconnecting in 2018, Bloom popped the question one year later.
The pair welcomed their daughter in August 2020.
