According to a PR expert, the breakup between Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry might actually benefit the actor’s career. The expert suggests that this move is strategic and has opened up new opportunities for Bloom.
Bloom made a solo appearance at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding in Venice, where he was seen mingling with a mystery woman.
Meanwhile, Katy Perry is currently busy with her Lifetimes world tour but is reportedly experiencing a decline in popularity and facing uncertainty due to recent public backlash.

Why Orlando Bloom’s Split From Katy Perry Is A ‘Savvy’ Career Move

There appears to be a silver lining to the split between Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom and pop star Katy Perry.
Bloom and Perry began their relationship in 2016 and got engaged in 2019. However, their relationship has been strained recently, especially after Perry received criticism for her space trip and the release of her latest album, “143.”
The “Lord Of The Rings” actor joined other celebrities, including Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian, at the exclusive wedding ceremony for Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez in Venice.

In a chat with the Daily Mail, PR expert Chad Teixeira said the split between the couple has been “incredibly well-timed” for Bloom, whether it happened “intentionally or coincidentally,” as it seemingly affords him the opportunity to launch a “soft rebrand” after being in the “Roar” singer’s “shadow” for years.
“The breakup has created a brand window for Orlando, and one that he’s stepping into with just the right amount of presence,” Teixeira claimed. “He’s not chasing the spotlight, but he’s not hiding either. That’s a savvy move in today’s fame economy, and it’ll stand him in better stead when Katy’s fame is disappearing more than ever.”

Katy Perry Has Been Plagued By Backlash Since Her All-Female Spaceflight

One can only imagine the awkward air between the estranged couple if Perry had also attended Bezos and Sanchez’s wedding.
The singer came under heavy backlash after going on an all-female trip to space with Sanchez and other ladies on Bezos’ Blue Origin spaceship.
The Sun recently reported that Bloom, in particular, did not “approve” of Perry’s spaceflight and was left feeling “frustrated” and “disappointed” by her decision to still go on it.
Meanwhile, Perry’s ongoing Lifetimes World Tour also seems to have been affected by the downturn in popularity, as she has struggled to sell tickets in some venues and has been greeted with a “lukewarm reception” to her new projects.

Orlando Bloom Now Has The Chance To ‘Reestablish His Own Narrative’

PR expert Teixeira notes that Perry has “struggled to gain traction” in recent months, which seems to be a good thing for Bloom as they go their separate ways.
“From a brand and public image standpoint, Orlando Bloom’s recent split from Katy Perry appears to be incredibly well-timed, whether intentionally or coincidentally,” the brand expert said.
“In the wake of a high-profile relationship that often placed him in the shadow of Perry’s headline-making career, Orlando now has the opportunity to reestablish his own narrative, independent of her increasingly complex public perception,” Teixeira added.

The Actor Was Seen With A Mystery Woman In Venice

Newly-single Bloom kept an animated face at the star-studded wedding and was seen cozying up to a mystery woman, who was later revealed to be Meghan Markle’s stylist Jamie Mizrahi.
He was also seen chatting with Kim Kardashian and even shared a kiss with her during their encounter.
Teixeira said the move is a “subtle repositioning” for the “Pirates Of The Caribbean” actor as he’s “not trying to dominate headlines” but just happens to be “at exactly the right places, looking relaxed, charismatic, and unburdened.”
“The media is responding positively, capturing him enjoying life, socializing, even partying, which feeds into a well-worn but effective Hollywood archetype,” the PR expert said. “He’s now coming across as the effortlessly cool, slightly mysterious leading man who doesn’t need to try too hard.”
He continued, “In PR terms, this is a textbook soft rebrand, it’s low on drama, high on visibility, and perfectly timed to capitalize on a shift in public sentiment.”
“As Katy navigates the uphill battle of redefining her musical and commercial identity, Orlando is benefiting from the simplicity and clarity of stepping out on his own at a moment when the cultural conversation around him is more curious than critical,” Teixeira added.

Why Orlando Bloom And Katy Perry Never Got Married

Bloom went above and beyond to pop the question to Perry in 2019, employing a private helicopter ride and secretly flying in all her friends and family for the engagement. Six years down the line, they’re now going their separate ways.
According to the Daily Mail, they initially planned to walk down the aisle immediately, but were forced to reconsider due to the COVID-19 pandemic that ravaged the country at the time.
Perry became occupied with juggling her career and being a new mom after they welcomed their daughter, Daisy, in August 2020.
“They were looking forward to marrying fast after getting engaged, and then COVID got in the way,” a source said. “[When] they got engaged, she was expecting, so everything came fast, and she was looking forward to heading down the aisle pregnant.”
“It was actually something she wanted to happen. But with the unknown of COVID and travel restrictions, they had to postpone their nuptials,” the insider continued.
“As time passed, she released new music, set up for a tour, left American Idol, all while juggling being a new mom. There just wasn’t any time to put a wedding together,” the source explained, adding that “the chances of breaking up were more likely than getting married.”
