Given how intense some of the Venom scenes where Tom Hardy’s injury was that surprising. There are so many moving parts in action scenes that one mishap can lead to serious injuries. Injuring one’s knees could impact an actor’s ability to perform intense stunts. Luckily, Hardy was able to film and complete the sequel. As pointed out in the article, knee surgery usually requires weeks (if not, months) for the person to recover. At least, Hardy recovered enough to take part in the Venom sequel.
