The rumors are swirling again after a turbulent start to 2025. Despite receiving six Grammy nominations, she did not win any awards. Additionally, her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, experienced a heartbreaking loss in the 2025 Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Following a rough start to the year, a source told Us Weekly that the couple is “laying low” and stepping away from the spotlight for a few weeks.

“Taylor and Travis are taking it easy right now,” one source told the outlet. “They’ve been laying low in Kansas City.”

They took some time off to go skiing in Park City. An insider revealed, “They’ve been traveling, enjoying quality time together, and taking a break from the rest of the world for a while.”

On Thursday, March 13, they were also spotted in New York City, dining with a group of people at Crane Club.

“Travis and four of his friends showed up,” a source disclosed. “Taylor joined them at 11 p.m. There were a total of seven people, including the couple. They hung out until 3 a.m., laughing and having a great time.”

An eyewitness said that the couple was “very cute” together and that the NFL star had his arm wrapped around her the whole night.

The original poster (OP) wrote, “Travis doesn’t let her” followed by, “Remember the outrage Swifties had on Joe for being private,” referring to her ex-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, whom Swift dated for approximately six years.

Some fans thought that Swift was staying off the radar because she had some work done and was still recovering.

“This just feels like she’s trying to force the same narrative she had before for reputation Taylor’s version,” one fan speculated. “She’ll ‘disappear’ for a few months and then suddenly emerge to try and create ‘a moment.’”

“After having more work done,” another user shot back.

Other users wondered why Swift was no longer seen with her “Girl Squad” that made headlines around 2014. “I mean, does she have many friends? I doubt she’s hanging with the Chief WAGS if there are no cameras to capture it,” one user wrote. “Selena [Gomez] is probably busy with her new fiancé, I don’t think she spends any time with her ‘girl squad’ and she actively tried to distance herself from Ryan and Blake through ‘media articles.’”
