Renée Zellweger’s beau, Ant Anstead, joined her at a party for Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy in London.
Before anything else, Zellweger, aged 55, made her grand entrance on Wednesday, January 29, for the premiere of her latest film at the Odeon Luxe theater. She donned a stunning fuchsia gown with a strapless neckline and a long flowing train.
During the event, the actress joyfully posed for photographs alongside her co-star, Leo Woodall, who looked fashionable in a brown corduroy suit. Woodall, 28, portrays a romantic interest for Zellweger’s beloved character in the fourth chapter of the Bridget Jones movie series.
Zellweger and Woodall also joined castmates Hugh Grant, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Isla Fisher and James Broadbent on the carpet for a group shot.
After the premiere, the cast proceeded to an afterparty hosted at London’s Brasserie Zedel. Anstead showed his support for Zellweger, who still had bandages on her finger. The cheerful duo was captured leaving the venue, as seen in photos released by The Daily Mail on Wednesday. Anstead was elegantly attired for the occasion, sporting a sophisticated three-piece suit in a dark shade of gray.
Zellweger and the British TV personality were first linked in June 2021 after filming an episode of Anstead’s Discovery+ series, Celebrity IOU Joyride. Later that summer, they made their official debut as a couple at a gala in California.
In April 2023, the duo celebrated their second anniversary together. Anstead marked the milestone by sharing a series of photos of the two of them via Instagram. “Two years of magic 💫💫x,” he captioned the post at the time.
That same month, a source exclusively told Us that Zellweger and Anstead were embracing a future together. “They both want to settle down and create a home together,” the insider shared. “Renée loves how romantic, open and honest he is. She does say that it took her a while to find love again, but it was well worth the wait. She’s still giddy in love. He literally swept her off her feet.”
As Anstead and Zellweger’s relationship flourished, her bond with his children has also grown stronger. (Anstead shares 5-year-old son Hudson with ex-wife Christina Haack, to whom he was married for nearly two years. He is also the father of two older children, Amelie, 21, and Archie, 18, with first wife Louise Storey.)
“Renée gets along really well with Ant’s children and they spend a lot of quality time together,” a source told Us in July 2023. “Despite being in the public eye, Renée and Ant love just hanging out at home with the kids, watching movies and making dinner together. They enjoy a very low-key lifestyle.”
