Todd And Julie Chrisley's Alleged Pricey Demand For TV Comeback Raises Eyebrows In Hollywood

Todd and Julie Chrisley are not letting a little federal prison time or a media firestorm get in the way of their comeback.

The reality TV couple, freshly pardoned by President Donald Trump, is reportedly pushing hard for a big-money return to television.

However, not everyone in Hollywood is buying it. As the “Chrisley Knows Best” stars begin rebuilding their public image, industry insiders and critics have plenty to say, some of which is as savage as ever.

Todd Chrisley and his wife are eager to launch a brand-new reality series documenting their return to normal life post-prison.

According to sources, that might not be a problem as many TV production companies are considering signing the couple.

However, their price may just be a hindrance as the duo is seeking a seven-figure payout.

Recently, some television producers opened up to the Daily Mail, sharing their thoughts about Todd and Julie’s extremely high price tag.

“We would love to work with them, but their price tag is way too high,” one producer told the publication.

They also shared that they weren’t entirely sure if Todd and Julie would be worth such a huge amount. “Will people want to watch them?” the producer asked.

Another producer revealed the specific amount Todd and Julie were requesting. According to them, the couple’s asking price was a whopping $5 million minimum.

“That’s where the conversation starts. But they’re hoping for a bidding war to take the price higher,” the producer said.

They also explained that the price tag should be based on what viewers wanted to see in a Chrisley show.

“What everyone has to decide is what a Chrisley show will look like. What will the angle be? That’s important in deciding what the cost should be,” they noted.

A third producer, however, felt confident that the stars would be worth watching. They told the outlet they would get Todd and Julie back on TV if they agreed on a good deal.

“They’re hungry for a good deal. And if we can come up with one. I’ll put them back on TV. Because people will watch,” they revealed.

While Todd Chrisley and Julie are looking to land a great deal, the Chrisley family already has a show in the works.

The Lifetime docuseries tentatively titled “The Untitled Chrisleys Project” initially planned to follow the children’s lives during their parents’ incarceration. However, things changed when Todd and Julie were released.

“No one knew this pardon would happen, and the goal is to cover their lives in real time, but things have significantly changed for them all and everyone in the family, as well as producers, are trying to figure it out and tell their authentic story,” a source told PEOPLE.

However, the insider noted that the Lifetime crew wasn’t new to such situations, recalling a similar occurrence while filming Wendy Williams’s documentary.

“It’s similar to Wendy Williams. When filming began on her doc, they thought they were going to do one kind of show, and then everything changed,” they shared.

As fans anticipate the show’s release, they shouldn’t expect Todd and Julie to express any remorse.

The 56-year-old maintained that he and Julie didn’t commit the crimes for which they were convicted.

“Even though this pardon happened, I still was convicted of something I did not do. It could be you. It could be you. It could be any of you,” Todd said, per TMZ.
