Ryan Reynolds Ends Social Media Hiatus Following Blake Lively’s Legal Action

Ryan Reynolds has returned to social media for the first time since news broke about his wife, Blake Lively, filing a lawsuit against actor and director Justin Baldoni. The Hollywood power couple has found themselves at the center of intense public scrutiny following Lively’s shocking allegations.

Amid the growing controversy, sources close to the couple have emphasized Reynolds’ unwavering support for his wife. Insiders have described him as a steady and protective presence for Lively during this challenging time.

However, despite his reported behind-the-scenes support, Ryan Reynolds had notably remained silent on social media—until now.

Ryan Reynolds has finally re-emerged on social media, marking his first post since the lawsuit became public. “It’s almost Christmas Eve,” he began to write. “Last day to donate to @sickkidsvs. Blake Lively and I are matching any donation to $500k.”

Reynolds went on to explain how the organization “is a sanctuary for so many kids and their parents traversing the unimaginable.”

While the content of his post didn’t directly address the legal situation, fans and followers were quick to read between the lines, interpreting it as a subtle nod to his support for Lively.

In her complaint, Lively accuses Baldoni, who both directed and starred in the film adaptation of “It Ends With Us,” of sexual harassment during production.

The lawsuit details claims that Baldoni showed Lively explicit images and videos and made inappropriate inquiries about her personal sex life. Furthermore, the filing alleges that Baldoni launched a retaliatory smear campaign against Lively, aimed at damaging her professional and personal reputation after she spoke out about her experiences.

A source revealed to People Magazine earlier this week that Ryan Reynolds has been standing firmly by his wife following her complaint against Justin Baldoni. “Ryan is always her rock. They have such a special relationship. He’s very proud of her in so many ways,” the insider told the outlet.

According to Lively, Baldoni and his crisis communications team allegedly launched a “retaliatory social manipulation campaign” during the promotion of their film, with the intent of tarnishing her public image.

In response, Bryan Freedman, representing Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and their associates, firmly denied the allegations, calling them “categorically false.”

After the lawsuit made headlines, Blake Lively issued a statement to The New York Times, saying, “I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted.”

In a resurfaced interview, Justin Baldoni candidly admitted to having struggled with an “unhealthy” relationship with pornography.  “I was introduced to porn when I was 10 years old. Long before I ever, you know, could have an erection or even knew how I felt about anything,” he revealed during a July 2021 episode of Sarah Grynberg’s “A Life of Greatness” podcast.

“It was, you know, like any young boy who sees boobs for the first time, it’s exciting because our culture has shielded them from us because they’re sexualized. It’s cultural,” he added. “You go to places like Africa and different tribes … and the breast is the breast. We’ve sexualized this thing, so, of course, it becomes fascinating and interesting and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, boobs.’ And then, you know, hormones start raging.”

Several notable figures have publicly shown their support for Blake Lively following her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni. Among them are “A Simple Favor” director Paul Feig and Lively’s “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” costars Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, and Alexis Bledel.

“It Ends With Us” author Colleen Hoover also voiced her support, along with costars Jenny Slate and Brandon Sklenar.

Other stars rallying behind Lively include Amber Heard, Michele Morrone, Amy Schumer, and Lively’s older sister Robyn Lively, along with Robyn’s husband, Bart Johnson.
