Jersey Shore’s Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola and her fiancé, Justin May, are expecting their first baby together.
Giancola, 37, excitedly announced on Instagram that she is expecting a baby with her partner in August 2025. The couple had struggled with infertility for years, making this news even more special and cherished.
Expressing their joy and gratitude, the couple shared their excitement about welcoming their little miracle and how their hearts are filled with love. They eagerly anticipate meeting their baby and embarking on this new journey as parents.
Accompanying their heartfelt message, Giancola posted a series of photos showing them holding black-and-white ultrasound images. The last photo featured a sweet scene with a teddy bear under an umbrella at the beach, along with a sign revealing their long-kept secret about their upcoming bundle of joy.
Giancola shared in a November 2024 episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation that she suffered a miscarriage after undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF).
“This has been a very long process, it’s been a lot of shots, it’s been a lot of hormones,” Giancola said during a confessional. “Just the thought of even being pregnant was such a magical moment for me, and just to have that taken away — it’s devastating.”
Giancola gave a sweet shout-out to May, who she said had been supportive during the difficult time. “He’s so positive and uplifting,” she gushed. “He’s so special to me, and I just am so thankful for him. He’s been by my side through this whole thing. I just love him.”
Giancola suffered the pregnancy loss shortly before May proposed in 2024. “I am just like, in awe,” Giancola said in a confessional during the episode. “I’ve dreamt of this moment my entire life. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”
She added, “Justin coming into my life made my life a million times better. He is just everything I could ever ask for in a man. He’s patient. He’s supportive and I just love and adore him so much.”
Giancola announced her engagement to May in April 2024, while showing off a close-up of her ring. “Life update: Fiancé. The easiest question I’ve ever answered,” she wrote via Instagram. “Happiest & luckiest girl in the world. I’ll love you forever, and then some. Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
