Pete Davidson Allegedly Left a ‘SNL’ Gathering Early Because He Couldn’t Stand Being Near His Former Girlfriend Kim Kardashian

The comedian and Kardashian began dating after they shared a kiss during an Aladdin sketch on “SNL” when the reality TV star hosted in October 2021.

Pete Davidson is being applauded by fans for appearing “healthy” on his first red carpet in two years following his battles with substance abuse and time in rehab.

He reportedly made a quick exit from a party linked to “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend to avoid his ex-girlfriend, Kardashian, as per recent accounts.

The party was Chris Rock’s 60th birthday soiree at the Crane Club in NYC but featured guests who were in town for the comedy show’s 50th anniversary.

Sources mentioned by The Sun stated that Davidson was having a good time at the event with friends until Kardashian showed up. At that point, he promptly departed, allegedly not wanting to be in her presence.

“I gotta get Pete out of here. Pete’s got to go,” one of Davidson’s friends claimed, adding that the comedian “really can’t be around” the reality star.

Joining the exes at the party were stars like Tom Hanks, Madonna, Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler, Chevy Chase, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Jon Hamm, and Amy Schumer.

“There were a lot of big names there, but it was very low-key,” the source said.

Both Davidson and Kardashian had roles during the comedy show’s 50th-anniversary celebration.

Kardashian played the sister of Kristen Wiig’s zany Doonese in a sketch also starring Scarlett Johansson, Will Ferrell, Fred Armisen, and Ana Gasteyer.

Davidson, on the other hand, reprised his Chad character in two sketches and also starred with longtime friend John Mulaney in a musical number.

The event was filled with several “SNL” veterans, including Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler, Amy Poehler, and Tina Fey, who came together to honor the long-running sketch comedy series.

It turns out that the exes have maintained quite a cordial relationship between themselves since going their separate ways.

According to People Magazine, a source shared that they came face to face at the party and stopped for a chat. However, one of Davidson’s pals clarified the conversation was not romantic.

“He has nothing but love and respect for Kim,” the source explained. “He hopes everyone can move on.”

Another source previously told the news outlet that the comedian remained on good terms with the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” alum and revealed he was “still friends with pretty much all his exes.”

“He and Kim still talk occasionally. He’s a good guy,” the insider said, before adding of his famous exes, “They root for him.”

Davidson and Kardashian first sparked romance rumors in 2021 after the reality TV star made her hosting debut on the hit comedy show.

At the time, she took part in a number of sketches, including one with Davidson in which they played Disney characters Princess Jasmine and Aladdin. During the performance, the duo shared a kiss which set tongues wagging at the time.

Kardashian later recalled the moment on Amanda Hirsch’s “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, saying, “When we kissed, I was just like, ‘Hmm!’ It was a stage kiss, but it was still like, a little zing. It wasn’t anything like a super-crazy feeling.”

She continued, “I was just like, ‘Hmm,’ and then I was like, ‘Wow, I really haven’t kissed anyone else in 10 years, so maybe I’m just like being stupid and it’s just nothing and it’s just a stage kiss.'”

The duo split in August 2022 after her ex-husband, Kanye West, attacked Davidson repeatedly on social media.

Davidson has had his challenges with substance abuse but has reportedly been sober for a while now.

A source also told People Magazine that the comedian spent $200,000 to remove his tattoo from his body.

“He just woke up one day and wanted them gone, and it’s been a years-long process,” the source says of the procedure.

Another source shared that the process marks a fresh start for Davidson, who “has been sober since September, and gained twenty pounds.”

“Things are going really well for him,” the insider explained. “Things are heading in the right direction, and he’s receiving excellent reviews for the movie.'”

The comedian opened up about just how painful the process of removing his tattoo was in a January episode of “Today.”

“It’s pretty terrible, so if anybody out there is watching and thinking about getting a tattoo, make sure you really want to get it,” he told hosts Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin while pulling up his sleeve to show the faded tattoos on his forearm. “It’s pretty gone.”

He added, “I got sober and I saw myself in the mirror and I was like, ‘Nah. Who that?’ I was like, ‘I got to change it up a little bit.'”
