Nearly two years after their relationship made headlines, Holmes is said to be preparing to propose to Robach.

An insider who spoke to Us Weekly shared that “an engagement is coming” and “it’s been in the works for a while.”

Robach, 52, first sparked engagement rumors back in March when she appeared at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards wearing a purple stone on her ring finger.

However, the source clarified that the ring was actually a promise ring, “a sign of the next step that they will take.”

A formal proposal is said to be imminent and may be announced on the couple’s joint podcast, Amy & T.J., “when the time is right,” the insider added.

When it comes to their future wedding, the couple is reportedly planning a modest, deeply personal ceremony.

“How they got together is not traditional, so they want the engagement and wedding this time around to be their own style — modest and simple,” the insider explained.

“They want to share their vows in front of the closest people who matter to them to demonstrate how much they love each other and are committed to each other,” the source shared.

Robach first alluded to an engagement on an episode of the Amy & T.J. podcast in December 2024, telling listeners, “It’s not an if, it’s a when. I like that. I actually appreciate that.”

Holmes echoed the sentiment, saying he’s ready to remarry “sooner rather than later.”

“I say that based on my exclusive conversations with the bride,” Holmes joked. “I say that because we are not trying to figure things out. We are not trying to see if we want to be together. We’re not trying to do a trial run to see if this thing can work. That’s not where we are. … When we are getting married, that’s going to be a byproduct of what’s happening. And it’s coming.”

Holmes and Robach are continuing to open up about their unconventional love story, this time by sharing lessons learned in a new weekly relationship column.

Starting June 9, the couple launched Ask “Amy & T.J.,” an advice column for Yahoo where they’ll address complicated relationship dynamics, tough love questions, and everything in between.

“We’re here to be the face of ‘life is messy,'” Robach told the news platform. “Love is messy.”

Robach and Holmes say their own journey, full of missteps and growth, has made them wiser about love.

“I feel like we’ve become experienced relationship veterans because we’ve had a lot of trial and error,” Robach said candidly. Holmes chimed in with a laugh, “A LOT of errors.”

But both agree that those challenges have become their greatest teachers.

“I think you really, truly learn when you make mistakes; when there are problems, even failures,” Robach explained. “And we have learned significantly.”

Holmes echoed the sentiment, emphasizing that their story isn’t about perfection but about progress.
